      How can I join 2 arcs to make a continuous curvy line? I have seen about 'glue' but assume it is only on pro.

          As Rich said 'Weld' joins selected [connected] lines/curves/arcs into one bound 'curve'...
          It is an invaluable tool [works for all versions] !

          The 'Glue' ['Reglue'?] tools you suggest are to do with attaching component instances onto faces - like windows that might cut a hole in the faces that they are 'glued' to - there are several other scripts tools to do this [pretty-much for all version]...
