Photomatch & Measure
-
Anyone have any experience with using Photomatch, and then being able to get an accurate (or reasonably close) measurement.
I am trying to plan some kitchen cabinets, had a friend take some photos and I am trying to figure out the area that I can work with.
I can't seem to get it close.

You may want to give Tgi3D PhotoScan a try. You can try it for 30 days for free.
good luck

If you model the kitchen using photomatch, in theory you only need to know one measurement (say the thickness of the worktop) to scale the model correctly. You should then get a pretty good estimation of the other measurements.

A longer measurement would be better. This image looks like it could be a challenge to setup with Match Photo because one set of axis lines will have to run along the cabinets over the microwave and they are so nearly square on to the camera there's not much in the way of converging lines.

Gotta agree with Ogan. Photoscan would make light work of it. Photo match would give erroneous results.
The photos the better

Actually, if you could post or pm (to me) other photos of the kitchen (along with one, preferably long, distance measurement) I could check and see what kind of accuracy you can obtain with those using Tgi3D photoscan.
