Do you mean we should add a Cornel Bar subforum, too, that people can sign up like for the foreign language forums?
-
You are not obliged to read them
PS I see that the possible answers are a little unfair!

oooh, clever Mayor Mike! What do I need to do to get my OT (pun intended) responses excised into their own posts!
Edit: though I'm assuming which administrator did that, props to them...
-
No-one did that - it was just a rhetoric (and meant to be funny) question.

I meant this thread popping into existence (or created)

After an early lead the Yeses are now being caught by the Yeses who are making a late surge; at this rate it'll be a tie, with the Yeses and the Yeses drawing as the poll ends !
-
It's all very well setting up a poll where the only answer is 'Yes' or 'Yes', but what if that doesn't apply to you - can't we have another option for..........'Yes'?
-
I've cast my vote...but I'm not telling you which option it was for.
-
You may have meant it as a funny suggestion but on a forum where I was an admin we had just such a thing.
It was simply called the politics and religion forum and was a sub forum of our corner bar, it required you to choose to view it and you could opt out at any time.
It worked very well and meant that, if you didn't want it, you didn't have to see the religion threads pop up all the time on the new posts page. -

Oh, I have split those posts off another topic as they had no relevance to it.
-
That was a tough choice. I tried to spoil my ballot, but in the end...

Hi,
I voted YES. I'm not ignorant but I think the religious and political discussions should not take place in this forum. There are masses of Internet forums and blogs dealing with these issues. There you can discuss it as much as you like and you can find thousands of opinions and opposing opinions and endless discussions.
I think it's wonderful to share ideas together regardless of religious affiliation and political beliefs. This is the special in this forum.
I would suspect that the majority of the Sketchucation members attended the forum to learn about 3D technologies. I have chosen the SketchUcation forum to exchange ideas and experiences about SketchUp and related topics.
If I want to discuss something else, or seeking information on a particular topic, then I visit the appropriate forums or blogs.

Fair enough, so what should we discuss in the corner bar?
We have funny pictures, occasional joke, every now and again a Mac vs PC debate a good one on fine design.
So eliminating religion and politics (notice that political debates flame up more than religious ones) should make for a better corner bar right?

We could always discuss the weather...

Ban Pete!
This is my voteNo jokes now. Let's stop this habit. It became a habit. Not good for health. It's so boring.
Do you know how bad things became in greece these days?
I really don't want to talk about these.
I prefer to talk about our hobby, the love of 3d. (It's a hobby, not a profession after all, the good part of it)
Call it art if you like. Art against reality, I can live with it. -

This is my voteI agree, that bastard touches nerves with his anti-God rhetoric.
-
I answered the second Yes I am tired, but I didn't read the rest. I was just tired.
"Art against reality" THAT might be a good topic.
-
Very disappointed to see that the Yes I vote for as only 11 votes at this time, I think it's the better Yes the other is just a little yes.
