in one of those weird coincidences that would make Jung happy Aidan Chopra has just posted an article on Curviloft at the Official Google Sketchup Blog and the first example is exactly the question I posted here.

I disabled all plugins but the problem remained the same. thanks anyway.

yes, I have. it is very odd because it is the only file that I am having problems with.

same problem: it goes on forever generating scene thumbnails. could you possibly disable this feature and save it again? to do that just go to the scenes dialogue box, select all scenes, right-click and uncheck Use Sene Thumbnails. thanks.

Glad it worked, but there must be something odd with your system if it can't handle the thumbnails.

Perhaps Tig or another of the intellectual giants here can solve it for you.

Unfortunately there seems to be no API access to 'StyleOptions'
