Jim explained on the Anchor thread why these are useful. So, thanks to those involved to adding extra functionality to the forums. πŸ‘

That new link to thomthom's list now works [for me at least]! πŸ˜„
      At last it works! β˜€

TIG.. there was another topic recently, (openURL w/anchor on mac,) where a user was complaining that FireFox (on OSX,) didn't handle # in urls correctly.
I posted the link to the FF bug forum, where you can search for "anchor", and get quite a few hits, where users are complaining of bugs.

      @tig said:

You can just right-click over the anchor-link e.g. 'TIG' in the original post and get the link - it copies the full-code that you can then use - no need to worry about constructing it - ...

Yes this is what I was trying to say.. create the anchor first, then use it's link, to go and set a url jump "from" link.

      I'm not here much anymore.

Yay for anchors. I've wished for this - but strangely kept my mouth shut....

FireFox works just fine with the # anchor tags... it was the Csaba's link was constructed [and in that I display posts in reverse chronological order so the first one is the most recent]. When the anchor-link is properly formed, so to looks to the very post itself and not to that post's thread, then it all works fine πŸ˜„

Agreed... and being sure the post number is in the url, should eliminate conflicts with same named anchors in the same thread.

so many plugins available. most of them works like miracles.
might be quite confusing for someone like me as newbie.
is it possible to also look for them in order of certain term?
                like Pull-Push, Rotate-Mirror, Texture-Map, etc.

Good idea, and something I've been thinking about trying. There are technical and social hurdles that so far have prevented implementation. How would you organizer the plugins?

Currently, it reads the Plugins Forum, extracts topics titles containing /^[Plugin]/i along with the username of the topic.

Adding category info to the title isn't going to work so well since the title field has a limited length, so any category info is going to have to go in the first post using some convention (similar to the [Plugin] convention.)

                          Hi

Only plugins that are shared here are listed in the index. Jim hosts his own plugins on his site (follow that big, red button arrow).

When we are at it, Rich also made a plugin which can draw (among others) construction (guide) lines, too:

i see. thank you both Box and Gaieus.
i believe that would be O'Brien and with Pen Tools?
there's only one named Rich on the list.
thank you very much again to both.

                                        Hi, BOSS-02:
DaveR created this "sticky" thread on how to install: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=35746

If you are interested in a particular plugin and what it does, click on the link to the post. These are usually titled with [Plugin] as part of the heading. It is always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the native capabilities of Sketchup without plugins to gain a good understanding of the program.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

                                          hi!

i realize this is sort of a subjective subject, but could you mark maybe the top 20 'most used' or most useful plugins? i don't mean to demean anyone's efforts here, i'm sure they are all very good, but it would be a big help to me if i knew which ones are useful for almost everybody!
