Backing up SU & Plugins
-
Is it simple as just copying the plugin folder into a DVD for backup backup purposes and
copy and paste plugin folder into re-installed SU ? Sorry been away from SU for 6 months

Yep, or a memory stick if you've one handy

Like Rich says. There may be one or two more sophisticated plugins that have a full-blown installer, because they copy licence info etc. to other parts of your system (like V-Ray) but 99% of stuff will work. Don't forget to also back up any custom material libraries and templates.

And backup any customized Styles and Components subfolders...
