One suggestion...
Play with it, try all crazy things and soon you will get a feel for how it works and that will help you to create proxy's.

There's a new version coming "soon". Not sure if there's an upgrade cost, or not. Would it be better to wait?

That's not what I meant exactly, I just meant at least wait for an official answer to see what the best option is for you.

I have the current SDS and am looking forward to what Version 2 brings. I highly recommend the plugin.

I second this question; what is the upgrade cost, or do current users simply re-purchase the plugin retail? I don't even know if I kept a receipt from my original purchase...

SDS was only ever available for purchase via smustard.com, so if you install the Smustard toolbar, you can access your purchases.

That is correct, Jim. We will work out something where users who purchased through Smustard will have access to the upgrade pricing.
Cost has not been determined yet, but keep in mind that SDS2 will have about 3 times the features that the first version had, plus all the orginal features will be upgraded. (but don't worry...it won't cost 3 times as much)
Many have asked when it will be released. Testing is only now getting underway, but I hope that release will be 1st quarter 2011.
