I model all my Christmas presents.
You can do that?! Shoot! And here I've been buying presents instead of modeling them. If I'd only know.

I wonder if that trends thing actually means anything useful.

Free vs. Free:
http://www.google.com/trends?q=sketchup%2C+blender&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0And the results for "blender" probably include those related to the kitchen appliance.

Actually, taking a somewhat broader view, you can see that Sketchup is really of very little importance..

I must say, I'm pretty impressed with Blender 2.55. I wish it would accept skp files though.

Seems it imports DAE format so where is the problem?

-
This is true. I'm just a difficult bugger!

Yep.. I have already put my hands on 2.5 .... very nice indeed. Quite different feeling than from 2.4

Apparently Blender for Mac has been rewritten using Cocoa. It certainly shows! Blender's new interface is quite stunning. I'm completely uninterested in any modeller made by Autodesk anymore. Even Rhino. Why pay Β£$Β£$Β£$??? (Although I still don't mind forking out for SketchUp Pro

Doesn't Blender's UI look the same on all platforms?
