Hey everyone, I need help designing a table in sketch up that would go with the red and blue chair (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_and_Blue_Chair)

The table can be completely abstract as far as design but the pieces must have the following dimensions:

    8.5 cm x 20 cm x 1 cm
    8.5 cm x 9.5 cm x 1 cm
    5.5 cm x 10 cm x 1 cm
    4 cm x 8.5 cm x 1 cm
    1 cm x 14 cm x 1 cm
    .75 cm x 11.5 cm x 1 cm
    .75 cm x 13 cm x 1 cm

I have very poor sketchup skills so any help drawing this table would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

I've drawn the Red Blue chair and could probably draw the table for you. I think it would be a good project to use to learn SketchUp though. If that's not what you had in mind, drop me a PM and we'll talk about what you want and my fee.

πŸ˜† Not sure he expect there would be a fee...

The difference between fee and free is just a tiny 'r'.

            Probably not. πŸ˜’

I teach plenty of others to use SketchUp at no charge but I don't give away my SketchUp models.

Use SU to go on-line to down load a table. Window > Components > and write "table" in the google input box. Even if you can't find what you want, it is easy to change one.

A simple table - particularly a 'De Stijl' one that is so rectilinear and in very discrete parts with basic non-textured materials - is very easy to make in Sketchup...

All you need is a smidgen of imagination... and then draw some rectangles - you can type in the actual dimensions - e.g. 8.5cm,20cm then PushPull it and type 1cm etc.
As you make the various 'parts' select them [treble-click] change them into groups [or components if they will be used more than once] so they don't 'stick-together'.
Assemble them as needed using Move or Rotate [with +Ctrl these both 'copy' the selection].
When it's assembled you can edit each group/component in turn and use the Materials Browser to 'paint' the appropriate faces the colors you want using the standard simple 'colored materials' - after all De Stijl only uses back/white and primary colors !...

In the time I took to type this I could have had it half made by now...
We are not here to nursemaid you - you say you have basic Sketchup skills - it's the easiest program to learn and use so put in some effort... we could easily do it for you... BUT it's best if you at least try yourself...

We will help if you have problems along the way... but your first post reads like a pathetic 'please do this for me' rather than a more positive 'please help me do this'......... πŸ˜’

It's been almost two months since the OP made his request. I'm thinking he either got on with it or found someone to draw it for him by now or he's just lost interest. It doesn't appear that he's going to come back to respond to the offers of help.

Sigh, I find that talking to myself is of increasing frequency.>_<. That as well as writing script already done, better by others.
