More "open recent file" amounts please!
-
At present SketchUp only allows for a maximum of 10 files to be shown in the "recent items" menu. Any chance of allowing SketchUp to remember more files? I've always got more than 6 or so, on the go at any one time.
Guys, gals?

Guys, gals?I fear not - the number seems to be hard coded and not set in the registry/ini file - only the file paths are saved there ?

Since you are on a Mac, this might help http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050919045154542
I haven't tried it so can't say if it works. I do suspect this is something the system can control independently of SU however.

Cheers for the link Chris. I'll give it a go in the Terminal (a place I always dread- after my brother wiped a whole hard drive accidentally!!)
I'll tell you both how I got on

OnyX makes it easy to change that amount..
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/20070[different versions for tiger/leopard/10.6]
i mainly use onyx on my laptop to run the daily/weekly/monthly maintenance scripts that don't happen since the powerbook is rarely on at 3a.m... it also has some cool parameter changes (ie- change file type/naming scheme of screenshots etc..)...
it's basically a gui for certain terminal commands so use with caution.
-
Of course it is Jeff! Onyx- I used to use it, but for some reason it stopped working, so I did away with it for a time. Thanks for reminding me.
There's another too, but I can't remember the name of that other one either. I'm afraid I'm one of those people with a memory like a sieve!!! Typing on my iPhone at teh moment...... Spelling mistakes in abundance.....

Wow. cocktail used to be free! Crikey!
It was MacPilot that I was thinking about. Again about $15. The price I must pay for ignorance!
-
Hmm- MacPilot, for all those who have nothing better to do than tweak their computer all day!! Now I remember why I never bought it!!

My SU7 (pc version) is not holding ANY recent files in the drop down menu. Where is the control to set the number for this?
Thanks,
Steve

There isnt a way of controlling it on the PC as far as i know. If it isnt showing up its probably a bug, have you updated to the latest version?
