What a load of paranoid nonsense!! Do you really think that Apple are making such a profit from ventures such as iTunes? Apple hardly break even! Do you really think that multinational labels and publishing corporations such as Warner and Universal are going to cut Apple some slack when it comes to making a profit? Give me a break! Apple make money on their hardware. iTunes just simplifies the process of buying music and films, and so making it easier, makes the hardware more attractive.
paranoid nonsense!! is a bit harsh..... What It really comes down: who is writing the review and who do you believe. You can put that in your pipe and smoke it

ppl are already writing it off as nothing but an enlarged Itouch.
Ever notice how stupid people always have comments, while smart ones wait, try, ponder, before making remarks?
when i saw the title of the topic i thought: "there goes pete with another round of sarcastic remarks about apple and its products". but, no, i was wrong and so am able to say that smart people do not just what you say above but they also acknowledge good ideas and deeds even when they come from someone they are not fond of (as i know you are not an applemaniac as a few of us).
cheers.

I was glad to see that the iPad may yet have an built-in camera. See the attached picture.
I also read, 'Jobs Says Adobe is Lazy and Google's Don't Be Evil Mantra is Bullshit!'
Although ready the article he may have referred to Google's Mantra and 'crap'. Which ever term he used its like the pot calling the kettle black! Apple is a computer and software developer and not a mobile phone developer before the iPhone. Google's proposed new mobile looks promising and ups the anti which is no harm.
I also see that Apple have ground Psystar http://www.psystar.com/ into mud and its only a matter of time before they go under. However they might have more difficulty with the new kid on the block, http://www.pearC.de

Not much point to that really, why in the world would you want a perfectly good PC with a Mac OS on it? Like getting a Ferrari without wheels.
You get the black box with a shiny OS that only works with 3 apps....pointless.

.have you ever seen the build quality of a Psystar PC? they're worse than HP!!
However, that particular breed of Farrari needs no wheels, as it now glides on air!
-
Impossible...nothing can be worse than HP, maybe Acer.

I've got a HP
Me no friend with Pete Solo now
Where's that 'Foe' button gone

http://www.wired.com/listening_post/2008/03/apple-apparentl/It's not harsh at all. You are being paranoid. I'm sorry but you also don't have the faintest idea how publishing rights work. True Apple have made a profit, but then come the tax men- the publishers (and right now, the publishers love Apple!). Please, trust me on this. Two of my LP's (yes, I used to make music) are up for sale on iTunes. Both are published by Universal music, because I was ignorant enough, at the time to sign my rights away as a musician. I was in my twenties then. My wife is also an ex-musician, and she was far wiser becaue she used to collect royalties through the MCPS (and as a result, her band turned out a little richer and wiser than me!). Apple have made a profit, but it won't be Apple who will keep all of this money. All money collected will go to the publishers, and inturn will be collected by the record companies. Only then will artists see any money, that's if the record companies or publishers are efficient enough at coughing it up.
Now put THAT in your pipe.... !

...oh crap!!
I don't even have a funny come-back.
At least the HP comes with tons of HP software that nobody needs
-
PS I'm typing all of this from an iPhone, which is driving me nuts, especially with copy paste, because the screen is so small. I'm trying to leave my computer at my desk, rather than bring it home with me, because it is such a drag to keep having to lug the damn thing around all the time! Typing this on an iPad, is going to be very liberating. I'll probably even get another Nokia or Palm instead of this iPhone too!
PPS, HP are rubbish- I know, because I've got one!!!

That was great, TIG!

Not only are Google going after the iPhone market they could be looking at the iPad market also, Google Shows Off its Tablet Concept

After looking at the iPad and seeing Google's concept, I like Google's better already.
-
Now this is more like what we might need,
Rumor: Apple Has Another Tablet In The Works. More Like A Mac Than An iPhone.
-
Another one?
Maybe they should first let the ipad gain support and it's place in our lives before announcing they are making a better one, kinda might make folk hold off until the new one arrives.
