Excellent animation, Chris...!! I really like it a lot..!!

I assume that Jason is asking about what application you've used to assemble the video/animation...?!
You already told you've used VirtualDub to assemble the jpeg's Fry is generating, but you also seem to have used a video editor app. to add some effects...
(Going from BW to color etc...)

    Well - I'm only guessing... πŸ˜‰ <--- genuine wink

      you know what kwistenbiebel,
why dont you cut off the four walls, THE ROOM that trapp your model
      And Let IT FLY ‘‘‘‘
AND lAND IN A MEDITERRANEAN BEACH πŸ˜„
and then, once landed, make a new animation in that opened blue sun light sea and see what happens ?

To render the animation, I open the 'Fry render settings' panel in Sketchup, click on 'full animation' and hit the render button. Is that what you mean?

haha..yes, this is exactly what i meant... thought maybe there was something more complex about it.. haha..

Not exactly what you had in mind, but I did give it a completely different setting in this video:

Just great Kwist. Whats the music from your latest render, the nature scene?

Fantastic once again. Interesting the way you change the shadows during the animation.. is it merely a matter of changing the sun position when creating each new scene tab? And a somewhat off topic, but is it possible to scale the size of the HDRI background or is it only possible to scale the model to suit the HDRI? Thanks for the great animations

could it be possible you include in the setting of this video a view of the sea ? wherever you like it ?
                      πŸ˜„)
and including a double pass_through the house ?
                      thanks

I am afraid positioning a HDR is a bit of trial and error as it is not done WYSIWYG.
But its better than moving your model , as it screws up the views (scene tabs) you already prepared.

It looks like he used tree models and scaled them really big. If you look really good you can see the HDRi true the branches. It think thats why he has this fantastic shade over his model? but im just a newby letting my imagination loose on it

I am not familiar with the software you used for the animation render however, did you use an alpha shadow map, actual 3d mesh or just HDR image? The reason is the shadows, with a HDR you would not get the shadows moving as if the sun was behind it so there must have been some 3d trees involved or a shadow map right?

                                  it's HDRI + clipmapped trees

Could be Kerkythea with trees scaled very big lowered beneath the surface which gives the shadows. the shades also move over the subject
