I wish text to image did not exist but there is no doubt but grudgingly these images are very impressive. I feel the skills a lot of us have devoted our skills to learning how to model and render are almost redundant. But that felling will be felt by many. Doctors, lawyers, musicians and admin etc Jus saying. What others feel about AI

you are absolutely right, remus. as I understood it, they use the same idea behind motion capture, only that they use single pixels as trackers - which means dramatically increased precision for tiny movements of the skin and at the same time less preparation and a more comfortable procedure for the actor. so basically it is like covering the actor's whole face in markers. for comparisson. this is how the old method looks like [image: mocapface.jpg]

If you're going to give a site as a design competition feature (as opposed to just describing a hypothetical site and giving other criteria), it should make some sense. What can one consider about this site? If you know Crissy Field at all, it's not that it happens to be a public space. Pretend it isn't. It is just a flat site with an obvious view, but very idiosyncratic siting given the neighborhood and other features (freeway overpass, biking trails, "historic" structures);and loaded local planning issues. It would be like "Consider that you are to build a house here, but ignore everything except the view and private beach." Because otherwise... IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! Also if I owned that piece of land, I'd dream of letting it be a park. I don't think I'd want to do the competition. I'd get depressed. That's it. I'd build a tiny caretakers cottage and sweep the walks in the park the rest of my days. I guess I just said what you were saying. Sorry. Interesting that the Presidio Park itself is the site of several hotly contended development issues with other colorful players like GAP owners and Disney. Actually a very rich planning / architectural discussion /controversy. Somebody(s) will write a book or two.

That competition was hosted by Google; you will have to ask them that question. Considering they already did campuses, I'd be surprised if they repeated it.

I kind of like it because the undo zoom takes me right to the spot where I had made the changes, so its easier for my mind to remember the work flow I had gone through, so I make sure to undo exactly what I want. Normally I zoom in a bit to delete something, so this zooms right back in to where I had zoomed before so I can see it undelete. That being said though, it does seem like they could come up with a way to make it a toggle to remember zoom commands in the undo queue. Chris

@solo said: LOL. Just the thought of Americans voting for yet another angry white man for president is bad enough, him singing "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" to the 'Beach boys' tune is just sickening. Brian Wilson doesn't mind, though. He feels, and I quote: "honoured". Love yer music, Bri, but you took acid one time too many. As for McCain, at the very least, his sense of humour is a tad tasteless. One does not crack jokes about things like that. Certainly not considering the times we're living in. I wonder, though, whether it was bad humour, or hardcore cynicism.

You can have a look at the original photosynth tech demo Here. It's not quit as fancy as what they show in that video though.

I also quit cold turkey, I gave up alcohol at the same time (only for a year or so), but although it was really tough giving up both simultaneously I think not drinking made it MUCH easier to keep off the cigarettes. It's consistent with a lot of theories on addiction that much of it is associated with other behaviour, settings and people- the more you can avoid those other factors (even temporarily) the lower your chance of giving in to temptation. Quitting smoking was probably the smartest thing I ever did, I'm genuinely grateful that I am still finally free of the bloody things. Don't believe what they say about saving money though- I still don't know where it goes! Best of luck!

@mateo soletic said: I agree with Mike that this little girl Yang Peiyi should not have been substituted by Lin Miaoke. This is a big injustice to the little Yang who obviously has the tallent but hasnt got the required looks or at least someone thinks this way. And for the people that think that this is fuss over nothing let me tell You something about these countries like China. I lived most of my life in a socialist/comunist state that was once called Yugoslavia. In those countries being a individual is nothing . The individual only exists to serve bigger cause. So now they took her voice tommorow they will take her kidney . Believe me I have been there. And the worst thing the communists did is with peoples minds. If these people had to choose between democracy and totalitarism The majority would even now choose the latter. It will take generations to change this. And if we keep saying that this is fuss over nothing it will take even longer. Mateo Thanks for saying this, Mateo. I DO think this substitution is a big deal. It shows how desperate the Chinese government is to put on a happy face to the world. I'm not fooled. In fact, things like this just reinforce my sentiments.

the Sh#t house is funny. Here's a typical comment heard just before the residents leave and go on vacation: " Honey did you remember to close the Lid on the Sh#it house" Hehehe.

It seems green technology is popping up everywhere, but not on the market where it should be.I find it amazing that some of these technologies have been around for a very long time and still we don't have an eco car in our garage. Now besides these eco cars we also need to invent some ozone generators and climate/weather control.

@remus said: 600pics/3 hours=200 pics per hour= approx 1 pic every twenty seconds. Im no expert, but id say tis a bit ambitious to do that for 3 hours straight well if all he wants is a stickman with no background then i'd say it's pretty doable, but then again i'm no expert either, nor do i feel like proving it

Do you have a 'compatibility files...' area on the top bar when you open the folder where they should be ? Sometimes Vista moves files into special sub-folders 'to protect you'... It happens to me when I tweak a ruby script but when I run it the old version runs because Vista's put the new one in this stupid folder so I won't do anything bad !!! . Good luck...
