@chris fullmer said: Why not just tell them to come use the forum for questions. Is there really a need to differentiate them from any other beginner who comes and visits? Hi chris, dylan the only thing I am trying to achieve is to keep track of my students, I agree that differentation is not necessary or desirable. And i certainly want them to have the advantage of all the members knowledge here. Csaba has set up a ug for me, I'll see how that goes. I'm still thinking that just starting a thread might be the simplist solution. baz

That's kind of old actually. I remember however when I was almost busted at the Three Sisters Islands when I walked into the river and the cops thought I was going to jump off the Falls. (Who would1ve done such a stupid thing? It was freezing cold and snow and ice everywhere!)

I have never completed any projects. I simply "abandon" them as "good enough" for the deadline (and the client).

Could have been something out of control of SCF. You never know when dealing with network issues.

Thanks for the advice Dermot, the best brew I could do was "Sam Adams" instead of Guinness, but it has done a fair job- (the pizza,as always, was great) And thank you Solo and Majid

@olishea - his name is Bob!! Seriously though - that guy is truly awe inspiring - you should look into his other videos to see some of the stuff he has done - and he is so self depricating in his talks. He may have no arms and legs but he beats the sh1t out of most humans I have met in my life!

Hi folks. If you want to make the cursor larger because you have difficulty seeing it, may I suggest going to "Preferences --> Drawing" and enable "crosshairs". Then, the cursor will be difficult to miss. Just ideas.

Off topic? I thought I invented off topic. No worries, I enjoy the diversions. John in reply to: @unknownuser said: I think they may have had some ridiculous acceptance issues that have since been revised so the models would have be re-reviewed, but he's taken them down. There is actually 3 Hull area GE models. The KC, linea's model and a model of the Humber Bridge... John I think you are right on the acceptance issues, I will try reloading some from a couple of years ago, I'll mention it in this thread when I've done it and report back on how long, if at all, it takes. 2 years ago I rather naively launched into a big GE project, had to refund the client and that left me substantially out of pocket but that is a whole other story... Xrok, got to dash off to work now but will send you a pm with some info later.

Here are a couple of renders of a project im doing for design class. Im really more of an NPR kind of guy, and traditional style medias. But doing this stuff has been fun. Keep in mind that I only seriously dove into sketchup with this project, about 6 weeks ago, although I have had it on my comp for a year or more. And this is the first time I have done renderings...oh the precious lighting. Im still not completely satisfied, but all my instructors are in the stoneage and this stuff is beyond them, so I will likely get a B just because they dont know how to grade it (cause it wasnt done with markers and pencils) Oh well Any comments are welcomed.
