@olishea said: @unknownuser said: just run alongside instead of ride haha my how times have changed. it seems, however, that congestion has always been a problem! in fact it looks worse back then. On the contrary, everyone seems to keep moving rather than "sitting in traffic", just like in some of the India traffic videos online. I thought the kids were hanging on the back of the car, fooling around.

Guys, Now that we have the SU to Piranesi Competition of the ground http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=179&t=27639 I will order 10 baseball caps from the company in the UK. It really would be far too much hassle setting up a shop to sell the polos and caps. As Csaba says, we would be better off just giving them away with events here. I think I will order some extra caps and have them as prizes for the Speed Modeling Challenge also. Talking about auctioning Shirts and Polos! Brad Schell sent me his collection of 'signed' @Last and Google SketchUp T-Shirts some time back. I sent one to Ross for his young lad's birthday as he is a SketchUp fan. When I say 'signed', Brad wrote his name on the neck label. Or maybe his Mom did so he would not loose them in the laundry Anyway, I have 4 left and will raffle a couple of them off as they must now be SketchUp Collector's items. "Some nice images here." I see you point leedeetee. Here's a 'sketch' via pshp for a scene I have in mind. About economical crisis in greece, a Giorgio DeChirico influence, its complicated. A 3dCoat google earth mix. Working on the full SU scene now. 'The roman' [image: 6iM4_googleEarthAthensRoman2.jpg]

in today's climate of opinion weirdness is taken for high creativity...and the world is becoming a cross between Disneyland and Las Vegas.

I have the same kind of mouse. At first I was very shocked about the scrool wheel and slightly angry that I will not be able to pan around as I used to in the good old days but now it seems OK. It's easyer to click and hold it now as I don't have to put so much pressure in comparison with my old mouse. This one is very bad for gaming but overall I'm very pleased with it. Boosted up my productivity as I haven't played any games since semptember because of it

@3eighty said: bit of a paunch belly? ...Um. Define... I think women say it as "love handles", no offense just thought it would ring a bell. And how you guys let your selfs go so much? I mean just at least a walk a day will keep you in shape, a few sit ups if you still wanna go easy with the ladies

Chris, We are a full service AE where I work for(http://www.lrkimball.com) including LA services within the Architecture Division I am a part of. We have migrated Architectural and Structural disciplines to Revit, and are slowly trying to drag the MEP disciplines. We have looked at the limited Site / LA tools within Revit (and the new Eagle Point add-on) but have decided to wait until more appropriate tools and conten are available. We currently use Civil 3D for our LA people in-division, as well as for the Civil / Survey / Highway folks in the other divisions. There realy isn't any comparison between the 2 for LA function right now, even with the enhanced topo features reportedly part of the 2011 release - which is due any day now. I will have to look for the link when I am back in the office, but I did see a reference to Autodesk now starting to seriously consider a Site version of Revit that would include LA / Civil tools. It will be great for the entire project teams to be working in BIM, but I wouldn't anticipate it all that soon considering the monumental task it will be to create the corresponding tools and content required. As a lomg range strategy - it probably wouldn't hurt to get some eposure to BIM in general and Revit more specifically now. It IS a whole different approach and mindset though - which some people admittedly have a very difficult time transitioning to. Hope this helps! Dean

I don't know how many times I've told that damn joke, and I still had to read it until the end.
