I dont know how I go from a model that is 11 megs to one that is 48 megs while actually shrinking its size. In the process of redesign I have substantially reduced the size of the house I am modeling and the complexity of the house. I have no more components than before and no more layers than before.

In the process of redesign I did have the previous model side by side with the new model which was being built over imported autocad floor plans which made it very large and unwieldy.
So I can understand how it got to 48 megs.

But deleting all the previous house model and even the imported floor plans reducing the amount of stuff in the file by maybe 60 percent doesnt reduce the file size at all.

It is still reading 48 megs on windows explorer.

What is going on here?

This is not good because I want to be able to to email this thing back like it was emailed to me.

I placed it on the ground plane on its back as you suggested. This was the only way I could get the blue axis in the correct direction. It worked like a charm. Couldnt wait to share this with others. Thanks a bunch!

Is it possible to somehow convert a window component that does not automatically cut through the wall into one that does cut through the wall without having to rebuild the whole thing from scratch?

Suddenly out of the blue when I turn a layer on or off it jumps either to the top or bottom of the menu. This drives me crazy. How do I set this back to how it originally works so that the layer doesnt change order? Where is the toggle for this? Quick answer highly appreciated thanks

Can I use profile builder to make negative profiles, that is, reveals cut into a wall?

Is there any plugin that will apply UV mesh geometry to surfaces including non planar surfaces and faces of solids? Artisan does not appear to do this nor does anything else I have found. SketchUV only appears to apply texture maps. Does anything like this exist in the SU universe? Thanks
