With the previous version of VfSU one trick to gather all resources where to use the Distributed Render. You don't need to use any other machines than the one you sit on. Just turn on DR and set it to save assets to a folder.
However, in the last release the DR is broken - need to wait for a patch.
As for SU to Max - I don't know.
