seems that things stopped in 2012. Even the forum at the homepage seems abandoned http://www.keepingmyhandin.com/forum.

RE: [Plugin] Component Comparison
145 components is not half of the remainder (not just a few). Whilst this ratio is appreciated, and I never unvalued the amount of effort/time spent for this alpha version, it should be legitimate to ask whether there is further development (intended) or not. And if not I reckon it to be legitimate to mark any such plugin as such, or else how is the user to know?

RE: [Plugin] Component Comparison
I most certainly can, but that is beside the point, aside that the plugin missed other components as well - which is to be expected reading the status at the top.
The point was that rotated instances are not mentioned yet as shortfall and whether the plugin's development has ceased - in which case I am not seeing the point of being listed, in spite of the limited abilities.

I've had no time at all to work on this
That is back from 2011 - is the development of this plugin dead now by end of 2014?
I used the plugin, which picked up quite some instances but by far not all, one apparent are the wheels in this case, which are of the same geometry but just rotated

RE: [Plugin] Material_Maintenance v2.2 - 2013-01-13
I had first this thread opened over at Sketchup
and there been advised that this plugin is not changing material in component instances but the definition and thus in this setting
all component instances are applied even if the instance is not selected. Which is not what I was hoping for - my aim is to change material setting in those 'selected' only.
Wondering whether the author would be interested to develop an such an option, which I believe would be an enhancement to this the great plugin.

RE: Window on uneven/curved face/mesh?
the alignment of the window frame with the ship's hull is indeed working well that way, just the glass plane does not cut through entirely the underlying hull meshes - which reckon can be expected with this sort of uneven/curved mesh
-
RE: Window on uneven/curved face/mesh?
is not for productions, hence this suggestion could work.
Thicker - you mean the glass medium of the body, with push/pull?
I have been meantime experimenting with Align Tools, and it looks not unpromising.

RE: Window on uneven/curved face/mesh?
yeah, finally I got shape bender installed and tried it, but it is not convenient for this task - the window component is small and it is difficult to match to a similar piece of the extracted hull curve (which is not a constant).
Another way I tried is with tools on surface and joint push/pull, producing a more desirable result. yet cannot round the edges of the assumed window due to the added mesh.
and it is a very tedious process to have to draw each window separately... -
RE: Window on uneven/curved face/mesh?
it is probably getting off-topic, just could not concur on EWH. WIN7 64-bit with IE up-to-date, cache cleared on 2 different machines and on both the same issue with EWH. and only there, switching to 3D model warehouse and issue is gone, back to EWH and the install button is still being obfuscated/blocked

RE: Window on uneven/curved face/mesh?
shapenbender sounds like an (good) idea to try.
Once I get the latest version (0.6.1 beta; May 7, 2013) installed in SU, which is a bugger through EWH as it keeps the account window overlapping/blocking the download button....
And Sketchucation unfortunately is offering only outdated version 0.55 for download, which is dependend on the progressbar.rb

Window on uneven/curved face/mesh?
Got this ship modelled with curved faces at the superstructure and put some windows on it. As expected the windows would not align with the curved face/mesh.
Is there any trick/plug-in which could achieve such?
