RE: Render This: Dunny
I'm seeing all the great renders that one can do in Thea, I just purchased it and my computer is not booting up, what a bummer, my wife's computer that I'm on at the moment is not up to it, too old and too slow.(kinda like me)LOL

RE: Kitchen design
IMHO, I'd like to see a little more contrast, and something that always bothers me are "bad tangents" like the background mountain lining up with the slat on the window. I know, it's no big deal, maybe bkgd should be slightly out of focus. very nice oveall.
What render are you using?

RE: New Yacht
m.wendt, if you are going to give Kerkythea a go, don't forget to dowload all the materials and globals if you have not done so far.

RE: Why use Sketchup?
I started using it, and it became an instant love affair, hard to put into words exactly even with all the problems with it. I still dabble with Maya, but SU is my preference for most of what I need in my work, and all the plugins help a lot.
Not much of an answer for you, but just getting my 2 cents in.

RE: Rendering with 3D trees
it's 64 bit, well my computer is, not sure about the render engine. I'm trying to get the company I work for to spring for Thea or Vray.

RE: Rendering with 3D trees
Even my computer bogs down when using too many 3D trees, and I have 24Gigs of ram.
So I use as many 2d trees as possible.
I render with Podium that comes with a lot of it's own 2d trees and shrubs.
Otherwise I use kerkythea.
