Dave, Several years ago the primary original programmer (he was a kid when it came out) starting working on an update but the project proved to be too daunting, far more than he thought. It turns out he studied computer science at the same place and time as the owner of FormZ. After help and pressure from the guy who wrote over 500 tools that we all use (WildTools by Alfred Scot) FormZ took over the development on condition that the original programmer be part of the update team. Originally, we expected a beta last winter but the difficulties, especially with ancient graphic APIs, has caused numerous delays. We were told 1 months ago that it is 80–85% complete and in the last few months the forum has become very active. Both FormZ and PCADD have both been posting progress and I keep my fingers crossed. I now have lots of software that I cannot use on my primary Mac due to being restricted to OS Mojave. I'll post here when more is known… Ralph btw PCAD is probably the fastest and easiest to use 2D program ever written and can produce incredible drawings, and I've tried almost all of them going back to ClarisCAD in 1985.

with a recent SU subscription licence tied to an email address (and not the discontinued classic licence w/ serial data): if resetting all devices via the Trimble AMP ("My Products > SketchUp Pro > ...") as well as logging out, closing/restarting SU, logging in fails, you may want try to delete the according SU license status file "login_session.dat" from: • Win: C;\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 20##\SketchUp\ • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp20##/ ("Finder > Got To...") w/ the recent user name for "<User>" (Win) and the appropriate version numer for "20##"

@markchandler said: We've reproduced this with 2019 and 2020 and are opening a bug. Thank you for looking into this. It's caused me some grief

Well, I always thought using duplicated components would create fewer edges/faces than the same number of groups, but alas they are identical and directly proportional to the number of each. I don't doubt that using components (as I do for about half my drawings) has speed/file size advantages, but this probably means that only reducing the number of edges/faces will help the triple-click issue. I know I could reduce detail, and undoubtedly simplify a lot of components/groups, especially those made when I first started this project, but it would take a massive amount of work. In the end splitting the file is a work around, but one I will have to use. BTW the Mac version of SU 2015 is 64 bit only, and checking memory usage SU has elected to give itself 2 GB of Ram and there is no virtual memory in use, and lots more memory available if it wants it. cheers ralph
