every time i use section plane tool it changes size too

I hope you can help me with my problem.
every time i trying to use section plane is becoming really big far beyond my model.
it is really annoying when i am trying to create some views.
do you know what could be the reason for it??

Does anyone know how to or if is any possibilities to use graphic symbols for landscape appraisal and site analysis for example: noise symbol to indicate, sun paths and winds, frost pockets and exposed areas etc...
any suggestion are much appreciated.
