Same problem here, space navigator does not work with sketchup 2013, hopefully the new drivers will be up soon.

I am running win8, never used it before, fumbling around in metroland.

The problem was, as you suggested, running the program as a user, I followed these instructions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-YRJQ4uMyo , and now the problem has gone.

I have bought a new pc, running win8, I have downloaded sketchup2013 (been using older versions for 5 years).

Frequently an error message pops up saying "unable to update the evaluation time. Make shure that C:\ProgramData\Sketchup\Sketchup2013\sketchup13.If is writable" comes on the screen.

any ideas?
