Excellent - thanks again.
Triangulating the cutting line was what I was missing.
Cheers

RE: Fillets
That is great thanks Dave.
RoundCorner fillets in the duplicate corner is all good.
I am, however, unsure how you achieved this step:
"Trim the fillets to match the angles and radius from the bracket."
Would you mind expanding on that?
I appreciate your time. -
RE: Fillets
Thanks Dave that is good to know.
Did you group anything in the process?
There are also fillets on the vertical sides of the triangular web which would result in a 3 way join in the corner.
Also the underside of the protruding cylinder on the back has a fillet around the curve.
I assume the Follow Me tool would also work there? -
Fillets
I am hoping that someone here can help with a problem I have with a model.
Attached is a SketchUp file that I wish to add fillets to as shown on the jpg attachment.
RoundCorner does not like it. Is there another way?
Thanks

Fillet around a curve
Is there any way to put a fillet around a curved surface?
I couldn't make it work using Follow Me or the Round Corner plugin.
Is there another technique or plugin to do this?
Attached is a drawing where I would like to fillet between the cylinder and plate.
Any help appreciated.

RE: Cylinders intersecting at a corner
Thanks for the tips.
I will give them both a try.

Cylinders intersecting at a corner
I want to have two equal diameter cylinders meeting at one end of each cylinder - to form a right angle corner joint.
I can't seem to get it to work so any help appreciated.

RE: 3D fillet
What happens when different fillet radii meet? In attached drawing:
Block 1 - same radius (5) all happy.
Block 2 - 15 radius
Block 3 - 5 radius
Block 4 - 5 radius first and then 15 - not happy.
Block 5 - 15 radius first and then 5 - not happy.
All done with RoundCorner.
Can it be made to work?

RE: 3D fillet
Nope, not exactly!
Followed your steps and it worked.
Redrew it my way and it didn't.
The difference - I drew the web differently.
You drew a rectangular prism then cut it in half diagonally.
I drew the triangle shape of the rib with single lines and then pushed it back.
Go figure! Why would it be different?
Thanks
BTW - like the online video recording. I can use that with my students. -
RE: 3D fillet
Hey cotty
That is exactly what I did but the result was quite different as in my model.
So what did I do wrong - different settings maybe?

RE: 3D fillet
Hi
I am trying to use RoundCorner to fillet into a 3 way corner.
It works in block 1 but not when a wedge is in blocks 2 & 3.
I am trying to do a bracket similar to block 3.
Any help appreciated.
