i´ve been trying to extrude stringers of my stairs with tools on surface and joint push

pull rubies, but i´m somehow lost in the setting of TOS ruby and ca´t finish it.

i´d be grateful for any help on how to do it please.

first, it looks easy, but when i find curved stringers i´m lost

thanks for tips, but i´ve tried component stringer,1001bit pro and others without success.

any other tips , especially about stairs is heartly welcomed.

the main problem is , that the component is rotating away, or it goes wrong

direction (axis)

i distorted image in PS/Coreldr*w but it wasn´t good for PM, because it didn´t change
anything.
i don´t understand why such an important feature isn´t in SU PM ( or at least ruby)?

i have a small photo maching problem, and i don´t want to make a new thread.

the source image for PM isn´t proportionally right to fit into my model,

so i´d like to ask you guys please, if there is any way to distort the imported image

inside the sketchup ( eg. the same way as we do with textures )

i´d be very grateful for any tips, because this issue has been troublling me for quite some time.

i may find the cause of my problem. i always marked eg. wall as group or component too.
when i want to place just component without guidelines to eg. wall, it works perfectly.
but , when you place many guidelines as markers as an exact point for component,
the component is lost, and glue itself in wrong axis.

i must say, that i have different experiences with components.
someday it works, another day not a chance.
i don´t know the reason.
should be object like eg.wall ( a place, where i want to situated the component )
be marked as a component too or as a group for better result ?
what is the best position for making a component to stick to whatever plane you choose
to the middle of intersecting guidelines ?
i´d be very grateful for share or tips to fix it.

wondering, why can´t use hotkey Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to copy a new model from SU 2013

to a new opened layout blank page.

eg. i make a model and make 2 pages in layout, and like to add a third one with some

new changes.

open a blank new page in layout, change my model in SU, and finally i want to place it to

my blank layout page. i use my hotkey, but when i copy to layout, the frame is empty

without model , even with a different style.

it works like a charm with previous SU 8 , but i can´t find out how to fix it in SU 2013.

i´d be very grateful for a tips to make it right.

i´ve created the same component five times, each one situated to a different direction, to

find the best one which sticks to any face from all directions.

it doesn´t work, even i checked " glue " to any

i thought it works to stick to object as group, when i use guide lines, but it doesn´t at

all.

i´ve a question if you don´t mind.

there´are many excellent rendering apps for sketchup, many of them almost perfect.

some of them are almost unbeatable like vray.

lumion and keyshot are easy to use with cool effects, and with plenty of materials.

a friend of mine is curious, if there is any renderer to have the same qualities

together like those three i mentioned.

i hope to find the answer here , eventhough everyone usually votes for his/her product

has been using. so i mean the best impression, when you see eg. tut on youtube and so on.
