@pmiller said: If a hardworking few can produce this superb forum, why can't Google with all its resources fix their forums? (sorry, silly question). What most amazes me in the Groups is Google's "Not invented here" attitude toward forum software. After quite a long time they with their army of programmers still haven't made it even decently functional. Compared to this it is like Paintbrush versus Photoshop. Anssi

I like the roll up feature... but they don't support multiple monitor snapping for some reason...

Thanks Jim. Roger the water is a straight SU material. I had tried using TG_ but it wasn't coming out as I wanted. Instead I got the reflections in Kerky and then overlaid that image with the SU export [with the water deleted to expose the tiles and pool sides]. I used a warping brush in PhotoImpact to disturb the water a bit and used a 'gradual luminance' filter, again in PhotoImpact to add interest to the light. Stu

@unknownuser said: Thanks Dylan, Probably the the reflections are the only bonus achieved by running the image through Kerkythea but I feel that, just maybe, it adds some richness that wouldn't be achieved with a straight WC render. You are right stu, the reflection definately gives it something extra and I guess the bonus is with kerk you could do this so easily

@unknownuser said: Gaieus, if I add 2D plant entourage [Tiffs] I would normally do it post SU and Kerkythea in PhotoShop [or in my case PhotoImpact]. Stu Sure there is the post process (that I'm always just too lazy to do ) Anyway, nice scene as it can be with the given material!

Peter, Yep, Iv'e done just that but I would love to come across a source of really good, detailed designs. I'm guessing they are out there somewhere....Chinese? Islamic?...there is a rich tradition of this kind of art running from Istanbul to Beijing

According to Wikipedia Rooibos contains no tannins. Wine can contain a lot of tannins and phytates block just as much iron or more than tannins. So it's a bit strange, selective advice unless the doctor would know that your mother usually drinks an awful lot of tea. poster-Maggy

I use the H.264 codec almost exclusively. Excellent quality with decent file sizes, though a highly textured 364 acre development, 1024 x 768, 8 minutes long is 2.4 Gigs. And that is with 2D trees (2000 of them)
