looks like a partnership made in Second Heaven!

It would be interesting to read the article in Mark's magazine but I dont think it's too hard to predict a future direction for GSU....and maybe another takeover?

RE: Pilot spots 'UFO' over Guernse(y)
Craig,
Have you tried downloading the UFOs and reverse engineering them

They could hold all the answers
[insert X-Files theme here]
Stu

Ed. My guess is that its the island of Guernse.....near the island of Juerse

RE: Table manners
Ah Gosh John, [chew, chew]....I think [burp]...your being a bit fussy [chomp, chomp, dribble]...a man has the right to enjoy his food [burp, dribble, explosive cough]

PS. Serves you right for eating-in at Macker's

PPS. Sorry John, It couldn't have been Macker's...they don't have cutlery there

RE: What about Picasa...?
Tom,
I have never used Picasa and Im not sure exactly what you are looking for.
I am very impressed with Faststone as a image viewer/organiser/basic editor. Its really worth loading.

RE: Free Cut Out plugin
They do indeed install automatically in the PS plugin folder but if you are using another app. like PhotoImpact for example, you will need to browse through program files > Ulead > PhotoImpact 11 > Plugin....and set that as your target to save to.

RE: Walking is good!
Ben,
Well here it is, pretty well spelt out.

Looks like you just need another month

An if you can get through life without taking beta blockers, so very much the better.

RE: Walking is good!
Eric,
I am in the fortunate position of working from home [while my wife works out] and the unfortunate position of not being distracted by super cute kids like your self
so I'm pretty flexible time-wise during the day for my jaunts. -
Walking is good!
I walk about 4.5 K's a day. Or about 50min. of reasonably brisk power walking [I dont get to the hip swinging, Donald Duck stage
]
And I dont jog anymore....it shakes my brain around too much.
Its a good time for clearing my head, focusing on the work for the day or even my goals for the year.
Its good for my heart, lungs, circulation etc.
And it has the potential for weight reduction. But sadly, those puffing 50 min. a day can be canceled out in the evening by a couple [2] of cold tinnies.
So, Guys, unless you are a Gym Junkie or a marathon runner in training, the answer to weight loss is, as we are always told, diet.

Who is still using SU V5?
I would be interested to know who, like me, can't shake their attachment to SU V5.
Without thinking too much about it, the only things I usually cant live without in V6 is the monochrome button [for checking faces for rendering] and the recently discovered Mover rb. by Jim Foltz.
I generally start each new job in V6 and eventually move it back to V5 [often after getting apoleptic when I need to change the opacity of a texture....and then have to create a new texture rather than just editing the existing one

RE: Thank you God
Waaaah!
This is pretty heavy metaphysical stuff!
'There is no Google'

Coen you have obviously been reading Richard Dawkins' book
'The Google Delusion'

RE: Thank you God
Daniel,
I think on this forum Coen prefers to be addressed simply as...... Coen. No need for the grander titles here.

RE: Moths are not microwaveable
Well I'm glad to hear you are not microwaving rats

[But if you do the pigeons, you will probably need to finish them
off under a grill.]
This is interesting though
..maybe they could survive a nukrear [GWB spelling] war. They might be the only thing left.....and one day evolve into....yes you guessed it.....Mothmen

RE: Modo renders
Jeff,
Really lovely images. Mondo certainly looks the goods. [But then I'm sure you could make something look pretty good using Bryce 2
]
Those pavilion shots are stunning......and not a dog's head in sight

RE: Another Berry Good Very
Well Craig,
We all know the health benefits of red wine.......but its not really something you can start drinking every day at 9AM

-
Another Berry Good Very
Ah,
That's.... Very Good Berry
As Ross mentioned berries, generally, are super good for us.
One that I have been making a tea with is the Goji berry.Goji, seems to be the rage at fitness clubs aat the moment around here, but generally its being sold, concentrated, by the bottle for pretty serious money.
I buy mine as dried berry from a Chinese herbalist for around AUD$8 for half a kilo. I make a tea from it in an infusion cup using about a handful of berries. I use the first infusion to rinse the berries and then get 4-5 cups for drinking during the day. A fairly pleasant taste with a hint of sweetness.
A couple of links.

RE: Google Groups
Ah, Kristoff,
Maybe not?
There is debate about the new SU pro forum at GGs being for licence holders only. Reason being to prevent it being swamped by blow-in hobbyists.
The old forum was becoming really bloated and impersonal so lets not actively encourage the same thing to happen here.

Tudor Revival Chimneys
If anybody finds themselves in the unenviable position of having to model a Tudor Revival house these just might help
