I'm gonna post this here 'cause here's where I'd use it...?

Anybody else using Picasa (I see Paul is)?
      What do you think?
People you send there having problems getting "snagged" in anyway (I was able to download photos without having the program installed)?
Is this a good answer for me to storage here?

Thanks in advance for sharing your advice and experiences, Tom.

        Hi Tom,

I use Picasa but only for browsing my pics on my hard drive (quite a mess though - I mean as I keep them here). Never used any other services of it (I don't even know them to be honest).

How about their online service for sharing...any problems?

That's what I haven't tried yet. Maybe will - and we can post (embed) images from there then

Bruce, thanks for that...looked pretty good to me to. I got a copy with my new HD but haven't installed it yet. (Discovered two weeks after I changed my google profile to a protected email address I was still logged in when ever I used IE...still a bad taste in my mouth.)

Might start using it some here just to see...I like the various sizes of the images possible: can show the detail and the whole image with one file.

              Best and more later, Tom.

                  Tom,
I have never used Picasa and Im not sure exactly what you are looking for.
I am very impressed with Faststone as a image viewer/organiser/basic editor. Its really worth loading.

                    Stu,
Thanks, I'll give it a look.
I originally was looking for a free alternative to drop the majority of the bytes I wanted to share here. Every other online freebee I had available wasn't so free considering the ad load (and probable cookies) attacking the viewers.

But now looks like Kelly has us covered...yea Kelly!
                    Best, Tom.

(Like the new avatar, BTW...the other one always triggered the "Jaws" movie theme in my head :`)
