Thanks to all who replied, Jean I must have done something wrong with smustard exporter I downloaded, seems to work now when I replaced file in plug ins folder with another download, I managed to export 2 scenes although the pop up menue box did not have any prompts about resolution size etc, still it worked, thanks very much, cheers all

      Happy sketching one and all

    • Exporting views

Hello folks, feeling dumber than a box of hammers atm, I have searched plenty of sites before asking here, even downloaded a few programs from suggested sites like smustard, I am trying to save and export 2 scenes from Sketchup so I can do some colour work in photoshop as per a suggested process from forums. I have loaded these files into plug in folder as directed but cannot seem to get them to appear in sketchup for use ? any suggestions ?

      Regards

    • RE: Advice on post production ?

Hi all, cheers and many thanks for your replies. I suppose I did not add too much info on what the picture was lol, what is it ?, ahh its a fantasy vehicle flying on patrol, no wings required as the 2 side pods are anti grav engines, kinda like the ones seen in star trek (yep that old chestnut ). I had no intentions on it looking like a lego toy but interesting view to consider and improve upon lol. When I rendered it in Kerkythea I just used the available materials, so yes It does look a whole lot shiny and too new, I hope I can age it a little without doing any damage to the picture, I tried photo shop (very new to that as well)to make some exhaust flare and lighting, results were less than desired lol, if I manage to get something decent completed I hope to submitt it again for feedback.

I think baby steps are the way to go for me, I just discovered Sketchup and the wondeful world of 3d drawing April this year, very nooobish, so until I have something more decent to show, I wont stalk anymore, thanks heaps for your advice, this forum is fantastic.

Oh Solo, I checked out you site, the Nagrall recorder is ... well... simply wondeful mate, if you did that in Sketchup and just rendered it, no other post production, that is where I want to be one day.

      Cheers all Ray ๐Ÿ˜„

    • RE: Scifi Sketchup Modeling

Hi Liam, your art is inspiring to someone like me who is only just starting out to do this art for fun, I discovered Sketchup a few months ago and have not looked back. I like sci fi and like drawing it for fun, recently I started using Kerkythea for rendering my pictures and received some good feedback, however they keep mentioning post production enhacement of final pics, you are the first person i have come across that has in some way managed to give me some idea of what this is about, and your work is fantastic without doing any rendering. I managed to save your information on using photo shop to enhance my drawings, I will try again to improve them following your advice and see where I end up lol. I have submitted a picture to the WIP area and wait for moderator to approve, please have a look sometime when it gets there and let me know what you think, any advice would be greatly appreciated, any updated info or links you may have would be gold for me atm, cheers and please keep posting your work, I need all the inspiration i can get.
