RE: Yet another doodle
Nope. I only did the cap and the stick. Oh, and the figure's socks.
The rest -the figure and the bathrobe- I merely posed and adjusted. Pretty easy to do, too. I have no intention on learning how to model figures, so I took the easy road that Daz offers.I know -it's shameful how lazy I am.

Anyhow ... this approach sure beats having to rely on wooden manikins!

Yet another doodle
Did this as a reference for a drawing. SU + DAZ Studio + Modo.
Pretty handy, DAZ Studio, if you're not into full-blown character modeling.
Have a nice weekend.

Looks just like MDF which has been out in the weather
Ah, that's no good. Oh well.

Do you use wacom or apply mats globally with mouse?
Substance designer is is indeed so complicated BUT yet SO powerful- photoshop feels like XIX centuryI don't use a Wacom, no. Been wanting to get one, though. Should come in real handy.
As for Designer -a single screenshot of its UI makes me feel like I'm quite possibly the dumbest person this side of the Urals.
No need to rub it in, Allegorithmic!

But whaddya really think Stinkie?
Needs a pinch of claustrophobia, IMO. That or spaceships. Can't go wrong with those!
Seriously, though, I'd start by changing the lighting. Looks too normal right now. A small yet bright emitter (like a flash) in front of the object, perhaps? Then take it from there.
Might also help: sharp edges (no bevels), blurry lo-res textures, high focal length. 'Bad' renders often have an almost tangible eerie quality.
Friday! Beer! Yay!

RE: Art?
Don't forget to give your piece a daft/offensive/creepy title. 'Death To Midgets', 'All Your Vgn*s Are Belong To Us', something along those lines.
