I must confess I feel strange about a great many things. Thus that font is the least of my worries. ๐Ÿ˜›

Seriously, though: I wanted the image have an 'IKEA feel'. IKEA used to use Verdana, so that's what I went with.

      Have a nice weekend. โ˜€

Yeah, that one looks good as well. Not even โ‚ฌ60. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
As I needn't be cutting edge -not a pro- that tiny investment would fulfill my photo editing needs for years.

      Pretty cool.

Thanks for le tippe, Pilou. ๐Ÿ’š

This one has possibly been mentioned before (I didn't read the whole thread): Affinity Designer. Works great, dirt cheap (โ‚ฌ54.99!) and loads of fun.

I have no idea whether the app's up to professional standards, but I'm having a blast. (Pay no attention to the compression artifacts in the image below -not Designer's fault. ๐Ÿ’š )

      โ‚ฌ54.99! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

      No, I don't work for 'em. ๐Ÿ˜›

    • RE: Vray or Thea - Which one to recommend?

Well ... in the end it all comes down to the question which app you enjoy using the most. Try extensively, and then follow your gut.

    • RE: Vray or Thea - Which one to recommend?

Theaโ€™s a fine app. Itโ€™s hybrid rendering mode (GPU + CPU) is blazing fast. Itโ€™s been over a year, though, since the latest version of the core app, Thea Studio, was released. Since then, the developers have gone shtum. Questions about Theaโ€™s development remain unanswered, promises about forthcoming news turn out empty.

VfSUโ€™s development used to be abysmal. Itโ€™d take ages until bugs got sorted, if at all. However, that has changed since Chaos Group took over. Today, the appโ€™s development is going strong. Vray may be a little slower than Thea, currently, but I have no doubt whatsoever thatโ€™ll change. Over the course of the years, Vray (not just VfSU) has only gotten better, and easier to use.

From my perspective, going with Vray looks like the safest bet, at the moment.
