i installed a new drive in my laptop yesterday and spent today getting everything up and running..
anyway, i had this same 'problem' (with su8)
finally figured out what it was after the 4th launch.. it's just that i still had the sketchup splash screen set to show upon launch which sort of makes it seem as if the license info wasn't remembered.. even though it was.
doh!
