Often I make a simple shape, or attempt to move an object only to have it snap back to it's original position. When I release the mouse it's like the object is attached to it's original position by an invisible rubber band. This happens with the Move Tool, Scale and Push Pull.
I can fix by saving and rebooting the drawing, but that is time consuming and not always practical. I've changed my mouse but that didn't fix the problem.
Using SKP 17 Pro. I'd love to send a model but when I save the problem goes away.
Anybody else have this problem?

Transparent image on a curved surface
Here's a challenge that came at me the other day. I needed to draw a screen printed logo on a round stainless steel trashcan. I've used a PNG with a transparent background before to place signs on windows, but when I project as a texture to a curve the background disappears. I ended up projecting to a flat stainless background and the projecting to the curve which worked in Sketchup but when rendered just looses all the texture and renders (VRay) as plain grey.I cannot control the material as a texture, it's now just a photo.
Anybody else have this problem and fixed it?
Thanks -
RE: Sketch-Up 8 Freezing when clicking "3D Text" tool.
Did this get resolved?
Same problem with 2016, 3d text tool freezes everything. Can free up with Esc.
Was working fine until this morning. Any fixes? Should I reinstall?

RE: Disappearing Sketchup
Thanks Dave, I think I checked most of the things you mentioned except the hidden line condition which I normally do not use. The file was redrawn with the same name so I can't
go back and check.
I'm starting to believe that this may be just some fat fingered sloppiness caused by fatigue. I remember hitting Control 'X' instead of 'Z' several times that morning.
Maybe I just accidentally clicked 'erase' instead of 'make group' followed by a Ctrl S instead of Ctrl 'Z' .
I can only add that it was quick and irreversible and certainly woke me up!
I make it a point to get up and walk around more now. I save more often too.
Thanks for your time, I've not found anybody else with this problem, so maybe time to look inward. -
RE: Disappearing Sketchup
I did check the Unhide option, and I had not set up any layers (consciously)
I control Z'd until I got tired of it. The file acted like a new drawing after this happened and I went on to re-draw with no issues.
Thanks for a good answer, but I'm still puzzled. -
Disappearing Sketchup
An odd thing happened today, I had a drawing simply disappear.
I had been working as normal, saving regularly and poof- nothing but white!
No axis, no SKB, nothing. I control Z'd a couple dozen times. The file name was still in the directory, but just came up blank when opened. All the controls were still working as normal.I was a little tired while working, is there some special key combination that would totally delete an image? ( other than Control A/Delete)?I would send you the file but I already drew over it.(successfully)

Anybody had a similar experience?
Thanks
