I continue to keep getting this message. It pops up after working in SU Pro 6 for about a minute or two.
Can any one here give me any input on this. I have never run into this problem.

RE: Vista, should I upgrade?
My boss just got a new laptop that came with Vista installed. He had me put all the programs we use onto this new computer. I opened a model in sketchup's latest pro version, could not get the program to stay opened, kept crashing. I did not have any time to deal with it and try to figure it all out, so it sits as a machine we can't use sketchup on until I have the time to figure it out, and then who knows, it may never work on it. I cannot remember the specs, but I do know it was sufficient.
I would continue with XP.

RE: Flying!
That is so unbelievable, oh my! I cannot even imagine what that must be like to feel like you can fly. I have been skydiving before but you do not feel like you can fly, you feel like you are plummeting to the earth at about 120 mph. What I cannot believe is that these guys are good enough to not hit the ground, like when the one guy flys past the road. They have no lift at all so they are always falling and in this case of always falling one has to be careful of the terrain not having any higher elevation along its gradual slopes. CRAZY!!!

RE: This is fantastic!
I have to agree with Kannonbal. Sketchup really does seem slow to progress. Not to take away from the "Killer" tool that it is, since Sketchup has truly caused for my 3D abilities to be where they are today. I have to admit that I'am disapointed that Sketchup does not seem to progress with the times. There seems to be so many 3rd party application that have come out since V.6 and have continued to pregress when SketchUp has not. I just want to get excited for some new Sketchup stuff.

RE: WIP Log Cabin
These are really great. I would be proud of these if I were you Tina, they are really nice. I really like the first one.

RE: WIP Log Cabin
Tina,
I love this cabin, such a clean model. I've admired your work ever since you posted the Rio Plaza rendering, I love it. I noticed you do a lot of work in Utah, some time ago I was checking out your work and couldn't help but think "that's St. George, Utah!" and what da ya know, lot's of work in Utah. I'm from Cedar Hills, just south of Salt Lake City and my in-laws have a second home in St. George, so we spend time down their in the spring and fall, to hot in the summer. Anywho, Nice work!

RE: Animation
I'm with you 100% Meteo. The only way I know of is to cut those parts out in video editing software and replace with transitions, fades and so on, but that still does not make for a nice fly around. This problem in between pages does not exist in programs like Vue (there are no pages), I have an example of spinning around an object here. I really, really would love so badly to see Sketchup come up with a better animation system. I think its important to be able to show designs this way.

Animation
Here is one of my latest animations. Now, I really would love to spend more time with this, I just thought I would quickly export a simple fly around. One thing, The video starts out with some weird problem, the video I uploaded does not do this, only after uploading to youtube does it look weird in the begging. If anyone knows what is going on or can help, would be great. Here it is the video, take looksee.

These are nice. You are getting really good at these office interiors.

RE: First Quicktime VR's
The question is weather we can create hot-spots with this same work-flow, CubicPano Out in SU, then to GoCubic to create the VR. GoCubic will not make the hot-spots, I think. I'm on a windows machine, so if there is some way we can do the same thing that cubic connector and cubic converter are doing, only in windows, this would be cool.

RE: First Quicktime VR's
Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I love the idea of being able to make those hot-spots, it's time to look into that. Tina, definitely try one, very easy and I think they are really affective.

First Quicktime VR's
I have posted some new work on my Blog http://www.harris3d.com/. Includes my first 2 Quicktime VR panorama's, Vue 6 work (Just learning), Vue 6 animation, and whatever else looks new. I'm exited about the quicktime Vr's, thanks to Jason Christiansen.

RE: Convention booth VR
I'm not able to get the ruby, I must be doing something wrong. I checked for it on Smustard and couldn't find it. Hummmmmm? Anyone?

RE: Convention booth VR
Jason,
Thanks man! I'm going to try that. I think this would be nice in many ways for clients, it's a bit more interactive than a still shot.

RE: Convention booth VR
That is very nice. Looks very clean and the resolution is great. I want to know your process of creating the VR's?

RE: WIP Animation
I think what you have looks great. I never attempt animation in Sketchup anymore after playing around with Vue6, it has ruined me. So now that I see what you have done, I like it, you have done a great job. This is what has ruined me http://www.e-onsoftware.com/products/vu ... layout.php

RE: 3 Animations on Youtube
Paul,
The animation is very nice. Not to many people can create good animations with SU, but you have done a very nice job with this one. No doubt, the modeling is soooooo cool. I'm impressed!

RE: .office interior.
I love seeing the progression of your model, it is really looking nice, I like it a lot. Makes me want to be in an office like that although the one I'm in is not to bad.
