I did use "Align View" which works fine for that particular moment. But I need to go back to the orthogonal views regularly. I installed the plug-in for extended standard views as suggested and it works perfectly. Seems like this really ought to be standard behavior for Sketchup. I've just replaced my standard views toolbar with it. Thanks for all of the help.

Aligning standard views with existing geometry
I need to align the standard views so that they are parallel/normal to certain faces in my model. I've tried re-aligning the axes (which I was successful at doing) but this doesn't seem to affect the behavior of the standard views (when I click top/front/side etc. buttons). The resulting views still show the model at an angle not normal to any faces.
The entire model is based on geometry cut and pasted at from a different model, so it adopted the skewed angle of the original model's axes.
How do I reset the standard views to certain aspects of my geometry?
Thanks. -
End points appear "Bold"
In my model some (but not all) line segments/edges appear with "bold" end points. Sort of like nodes. This appears on-screen and in print. Is this a global drawing setting or a per-entity preference? Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
