How to curve/bend a cylinder?

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone knows how to bend/curve a cylinder, but still keeping the cylinder profile.
I am trying to make a rebar diagram, and some of the rebar has numerouse bends and curves, all the rebar are cylinder shaped.

If anyone has an answer to this it would be great.
