How to curve/bend a cylinder?

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone knows how to bend/curve a cylinder, but still keeping the cylinder profile.
I am trying to make a rebar diagram, and some of the rebar has numerouse bends and curves, all the rebar are cylinder shaped.If anyone has an answer to this it would be great.

Follow Me would work as would the plugin called Tube Along Path. In either case, draw the path (centerline) for the rebar and add the circular profile (for Follow Me) or just run the plugin on that selected path.
