    • RE: SU7.1 OSX camera aspect ratio vs. export 2D

Either I am not using it correctly or the Fix aspect ratio ruby doesn't fix the issue with the random gray blocks/bars showing up on the exported images. If I use the Maxwell plugin to show me the camera view in SU, I am unable then to export images from SU without the gray blocks/bars whether I use Fix Aspect Ratio or not.

    • RE: Film and Stage plugin - need help to fix script

I am having this same issue with the gray bars when using the Maxwell plugin. I have not been able to find a workaround. I can export views fine at any resolution until I go to the Maxwell plugin and set "show render area". So now I have no way to match my SU view to what Maxwell will render. And I am unable to export without the gray bars. HELP!!!

    • RE: The VUE thread

I am using Vue Infinite 7.5 and Sketchup. Using the Camera2Vue ruby script I am able to overlay a sketchy image from Sketchup with a rendered image from Vue. How do I match date/time/location/north direction in Vue with that of Sketchup?

    • RE: Living Room

A very good start. I agree that more furnishings, plants, etc. are needed. Also, I don't know Podium, but I would try increasing the reflectivity of some of the surfaces (floor, table, chairs) to be more realistic. If you use Photoshop you might also try using a cooling camera filter or try auto color. The color balance seems to far on the warm side.

    • RE: Atypical Bathroom not ?

Excellent model and very close to a superb render. You might try reducing the bump on the flooring. Also, the background image looks a bit pasted onto the render. I would consider using a higher exposure for the image to lighten it up as well. What render software are you using?

    • RE: Urban project in Dalat , Vietnam

Nice job using Sketchup...I also have a disagreement with the architectural design. Why would a country with such wealth of local building types decide to use house designs that are from middle-class America? The house designs have nothing to do with the history or local environment of Vietnam.
