Hi Richard
It looks similar to a "Silver Birch". Suggest you check it out at Google - Images.

Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? Maybe it's a Shoe Shine Box (Seems very low to the ground if it is to the scale of the Stool !!!)

There needs to be something in your model that could be unhid so that the Unhide command is actually available. To make this easy, hide something in a model while View>Hidden Geometry is turned on. The hidden thing will be visible as a sort of mesh. Select it and then go to Preferences>Shortcuts and set your keyboard shortcut.

Got it. Thanks for that. -

Hi Roger,
Under Window > Preferences > Shortcuts you can assign different shortcuts to commands. Note however that some are context sensitive (i.e. if you hide something inside a group and later exit the group, you cannot use "Unhide last" outside the group's editing context). Also this means that some shortcuts will only appear in the list when you (say) select something first.
Hi Gaieus
I have looked at preferences. "Hide" is listed but not "Unhide"! Does this mean I cannot create a shortcut?
Cheers, Roger -
Keyboard Shortcuts
Hi Guys
I have searched through a good part of SketchUcation's web site, looking for the answer to my query but I cannot see it anywhere.
At the risk of being labelled a "Troglodyte" I kindly request that someone will advise how to create a keyboard shortcut. I tend to use "Hide" and then later "Unhide" when I am working on a model. Hide is not a problem, (right click on mouse). But Unhide, (go to Edit Menu etc.) is a real nuisance.
I use windows 7 64 bit and S U 8.Incidentally, I wish to congratulate all the contributors to the forums etc. Without you guys and your invaluable and selfless efforts to assist less informed S U users, I'm not sure where I, for one, would be. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks.
