Hi,

I welcome any advice on how to insert a 700m hedge line with rise/fall height from about 2m to 3m and 1m wide on an already heavy SU model 104mb and growing.

The hedge is going close to the scrawled line on the attached model. (system tells me that the file to big to attach)

The hedge can be about 60%+ full with the remainder as 'see through'.

The hedge will be seen only from one face i.e. views from within the centre of the model with the fence on the perimeter.

What UK green coloured species hedge style or type can I use on this already heavy SU model 104mb and growing.

All materials now available, I again re-installed, swore at it; had another coffee and they are showing.

No, I did not, I will give that a try.

Sketchup Pro 2018.
I have no materials folder, where can I (hopefully) download the default materials.
Nothing is showing in my sidebar in 'Materials' tab.
No materials folder is showing in Trimble Sketchup in my programs folder.
No materials folder is showing in my user-app data-roaming-sketchup 2018 ...

I have repaired programme via installation disc.
I have deleted and reinstalled programme via installation disc.
I have closed and restarted my system & I have had a coffee and swore at the setup.

As a very infrequent user of SU (2015 Make)how can I place a road on a rising terrain.
I am aware of annual subscription plugin but cannot justify the repeat cost.

BTW when I try to place my road on a downloaded Google Earth 'Grab' part of it disappears below the terrain surface.

Is there a simple procedure for putting a road with pavement/sidewalk on a Google Earth rising terrain.

I would welcome any advice on where to find some free UK designed 2 story house models.
I only need external views for the models, with the facility of changing external render/s.
The designs would have an integral single garage and preferably be 12m square or less.

Your compliments are well recieved and your identification of faults are educational.
I am finding that I have to be more careful in the placing of objects, and not just grabbing hold of them anywhere on the object and trying to place them. I hadn't realised I had put some in back to front or upside down.
I still cannot see the way forward to drawing a 3 storey with a basement house but I will perservere.

Hi to every-one.
Just started with free ver of SU 6.4 and finding that it is compulsive & addictive.
I am trying to liven my (old) little grey cells up to more fully understand the prog.
Placed a drawing of my home on GE (search for Flosh Farm, Cleator).
Please tell me if you can see it and any advise for improving it.
My next task is to try and draw the interior; being basement, ground, 1st & attic floors with furniture & surfaces; I cannot see how to do multi-floors at present.
My main training to date has been via 'andriachopra' (may have not got the name exactly correct)excellant training vids and playing around with the various tools.
I have a thousand questions but will try a little further on my own before asking them.
