Unloaded all my plugins and traced it yo Z_loader for free scale.... back up and running normal. all files have been updated to latest version prior to this. I wish I could give more info but my computer expertise ends there. I usually fix my computer problems with a hammer. Permanently. but seriously, let me know if i can help in any way to track this down as it is very annoying

Well I would really like to thank you Tom and Tig, after a couple of days i found the culprit, apparently i had a couple of older versions of the LibFredo6 filefolder in my plugins directory and after removing them everything is back to normal. Stupid mistake and thank you for your help.

ran said script with LibFredo.rb disabled, returned a value of 293. ran said script with LibFredo6 enabled and returned said value of 428. Right-click menu is greyed out right from the start with Libfredo.rb enabled. As in before I've had a chance to create anything. For the record I would like to say I really appreciate you guys looking into this. I used fredo's/your tools all the time and am really having a hard time remembering a workflow before I had these wonderful tools at my disposal.

Confirmed all files are in the proper placement. works fine without the "libfredo.rb" file, but with it as soon as i load sketchup and first action is right-click on sang all right click options are greyed out

Fredo, your latest script lib v 3.4c completely greys out my right -click options as early as sketchup start up on 7.1 win XP. help?

I found another option; if one needs to edit a lot of component that are "buried" deep within a model is to click on -Window==>Model Info==>Components and beside the second slide bar labeled "fade rest of model" click the box that says hide.Now when you open a component it hides the rest of the model. Simply unclick the box when you are done. (i work on two screens so i simply keep this window open on the other screen and adjust visibility as needed.)

I wish i could take credit for the design but its a restoration on a hundred and fifty year old commercial building and i need to replicate the work of the old craftsmen which means i have to pretty much relearn the trade and workflow as well as the methodology of their design.
