In Sketchup 7 you could easily adjust the solar angle without actually rotating the model for a desired effect. I have not been able to find the same tool/menu in Sketchup 8 being restricted to a realtime location for solar etc.

Is there a ruby or add on to Sketchup 8 to acheive the same effect as previous in 7?

My model info dialog box will not open when i click on model info...it is checked as being on...but nothing.

sorry...it is an ATI Mobility FireGL card

I believe I am running Intel...computer is brand new...do i still require and upgrade for the graphics card?

Just bought a new laptop and installed Sketchup Pro 6.0. (haven't upgraded to 7.0 yet) Everything seems to be working fine but unless I am perpendicular to the object i can not execute any commands on the face surface or click on the lines etc. Looking for suggestions please.

How exactly do you load a new ruby (.rb) file. I have tried copying some into the plugin's folder...some work...some do not. Just wondering if any one can lead me in the proper direction.

Is there any way to set your startup work space screen. I had it set some how on my other computer but can not remember how exactly I did it. Screen shot I'm looking for is top view white work space. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
