The Wii comes with several sports games, everybody I know raves about them. The controller really gives you a sense of playing the tennis and the boxing. Plus she (and you) will be getting something of a workout.

RE: New Theme
Coen, I think what you've got is pretty easy on the eyes. Of course I only have mine to look through...
I will say that there should be [i]some[i] break in style between these forums and those. we don't want people being confused.
I also want to say that my avatar is me....I traced a photo.

RE: Looks like this could be a new second home !
I'm glad to be here as well. This is like going to some exotic locale on vacation and immediately deciding to buy a house there.
I won't miss the google version of the official forum, so I'm not mourning at all. I think I'll like it here though with all these familiar faces.
Thanks to Coen, and where's the paypal button? We will all need to contribute to the bandwidth fund!

RE: Most used scripts.
I haven't been able to work Windoizer into my workflow, as I do mostly retail centers with irregular storefront. I used it a lot more when I was building cities for my comic book work, but alas...I don't do that anymore.
When I moved to version 6 I decided to only load tools as I needed them, thus keeping the bloat out of the plugins menu. I've got:
Curve Stitcher
Flatten to 2d
Mirror selection
Podium
Randor
Weld
Xporter
Xref toolsand that's it. Well, Makefaces over in the Tools folder. I have tons of ruby scripts loaded in V.5 but these are the only ones I've needed since upgrading.

RE: Most used scripts.
I use Makefaces a lot. I also use TBD's Randor for randomizing the size and rotation of trees. that helps a lot if you want to avoid marching-soldier trees along a sidewalk or whatever.
I guess if you want to call Podium a ruby script then that would be my #1.

RE: Marine/Baxter Building
Alan, you make me misty eyed. When I was doing Metro Med I was building an entire city, as well as interiors, and when I would talk to people about it at cons and stuff--and sometimes they would give me a look....like "isn't that not really being an artist?" My rationale was that it was better for the comic to have consistency in the look of the city (and the Emergency Room) if I modeled everything, made a "set", and drew from that. I was still creating everything, and in most cases I was fudging stuff when I drew the pages anyway.
Good to know Marvel caught on to the idea.
And good for you to be the one they looked to. Congrats!
