[quote="Dave R"]Paul, this isn't a bug with SketchUp 2013 so I moved it into SketchUp Discussions.
Thanks for that Dave.
Just back from dodging raindrops in the New Forest. I will sort this out, many thanks for your response.
Best regards.

All,
Just got the 2013 version of SU and copied over the plugins from SU8. Most are fine but certain ones fail to load. it says,
'This plugin requires SketchUp version greater than 6. Current version is 13.0.3689.'
I am assuming it is reading the 1 instead of 13.
This is that same message for: Curviloft, FredoScale, RoundCorner and TOS.
All these are Fredo6's excellent plugins. Is there a simple fix to this, or do I need to download them again, or does the script need tweaking? If I had the brains I was born with I would have had a go at trying to fix it, but I am more comfortable in front of the software, I will leave the alchemy to those who know what they are doing.
Vray 1.6 beta for SU is awesome by the way. Proxies are a real timesaver as is the live update real time render view.
many thanks in advance.

This is just so awesome Fredo, I work with architectural students who are always testing my SketchUp skills, whilst I try to lead them down a path of good modelling practice. Often the modelling moves away from Sketchup because it sometimes is not up to the task where something like AutoCAD or 3dsMax takes. This plugin puts SU right back into the frame. Thank you again for helping the new designers of this world realise thier potential.
Very best regards to you and all the generous plugin scripters.

Thanks Thom,
I have done, but its a slow process. They are pretty good on the IES side but I am having trouble getting registered on their system so I can leave posts. You'd think by having 100+ licences of the software at the college they would give a bit of lattitude.
Still, my clumsy little workaround suffices for the moment.
Regards

Hello all,
I was having a problem with the new IES plug-in for SketchUp. All was fine until I installed the new plugin with its thick walls extras. In a nutshell it splatted on start-up. This was new, the old version of IES was ok. So a conflict of interests between the new IES plug-in and something else that was installed. I am a bit of a magpie when it comes to Rubys and I have a lot of them so identifying the culprit was going to be an issue. To get to the point I clean installed SketchUp and IES and all was good. I then reinstalled VRAY and splat; same old situation. I get round it for now by renaming the Vray plug-in as I use the IES more than VRAY. But if anyone knows why it splats I would be very grateful.
This is a general aside to all the Ruby script writers. You have turned a useful bit of software into an awesome and indispensable bit of kit. I thank you all, sincerely.
