That Is a nicely well done first SU model. But be careful you might find SU addictive and before you know dinner is burnt and the sun is coming up. But the up side is one day you think it will take hours to get a part to look like you would like it to and β€œbam” dinner isn’t burnt and the sun is still up and you just set there looking at a completed item and think of what to work on next. 😲

      Hi Mateo,
Thanks for the link, will make good use of it.
At this point in time any tutorial will help.
As I mentioned earlier I am still trying very
      hard to tame Vue

Oh yes that is ur sofa, sorry forget to give you
credit earilier. the hazy edges are not intentional
infact till now I am still trying to get a sharper
      image . the 1st image took 45 min and 2nd 26min
in my - Duo 1.86 2gig ram. too long for my comfort
actually but heck ,I am the one wanting it.Sooooo

      Thanks again for all comments

    • RE: 1st Test post (SU-Vue)

      Hi Mateo,
Well, like you I fell in love with Vue the minute I
lay eye on,I agree with U, Vue is a pain for interior But the good thing is we don't really need to produce fantastic looking shot most of our client don't
pay us for the drawing .Speed is what my bosses want.

I am a Viz user (old Viz3i) We are also gearing for some
exterior works and I think its time we upgrade my "old rendering software" So I decide to take a bet on Vue to strike the balance. So far I think I hv made a right choice (I hope so :-p) Or my bosses with hang me by my balls,or there goes part of my pay-hehe

If you don't mind, how do you place your background scence? in some of your posting I notice they are not default Vue scence. Thanks in advance

Seems everyone's "all over the board" on this one. I like to mix it up a bit on WinAmp, but mostly rock to metal.

Totally mood-based. Fatboy Slim & Chemical Bros are favs, but I usually run the gamut from Sia to Sepultura. And since I have no shame I'll admit... I like me some Kelly Clarkson from time to time. Don't laugh, I know she's on your iPod too!

The place is St. Martin In the virgin islands.
The bar is right in the glide slope. Absolutely amazing when the flights come in in the afternoon. In the mornings they take off. 1 round per day.
I am sure you could you toob it.

    • RE: Cow Dung Floor.

Try egg white (albumin). In the UK I used to live in a 16th century stone farmhouse and the sandstone fireplaces had all been sealed with albumin. 200 years ago this was a local building practice. I can vouch for its toughness because to remove it I had to have the stonework sandblasted.

It's other advantage is that it's entirely natural.

      Good luck

    • RE: File location help

That's weird. I'm using Outlook Express, and as I just posted, it comes up with a path down deep in the Documents and Settings branch. I've used this technique at home and at work (using Outlook) a number of times, and I can typically find the temp file.

      Sorry that didn't work.

    • RE: File location help

No, I mean do the following:

Go back and open the .skp from your e-mail. Do a Save As from SU. Let's say it offers to save the file as Bell Gadget(3).skp. Take note of the directory.

Now navigate to that same directory and look for Bell Gadget.skp, which should be the first file of the series, the one you want.
