RE: VRay "zooms out" the scene when rendering
Open the vray for sketchup option.
Under "Camera" Roll-out go through the 'CameraPhyical'
Then check the 'Zoom Factor' option.
It should be 1 if we dont V-ray to zoom the view.
1 is default value. -
RE: Flat interior - C&C welcomed!
Good but,
Imagine a room like this you are standing same as the camera angle,
light outside is really like snap is of afternoon 2 clock in the summer.
looking inside the light doesn't cover the room.
you can also do that by adding passes in the vray for sketchup and then post-processed in photoshop.
Keep V-ray rectangle light slightly away from the window so the window will not get over-exposed.
You have to concentrate more on static lightning, I mean the if the room has more than 1 renderings then they have to be similar in material, lightning in all view.
Your second image is not matching with the first. It happens.sometimes.
The main thing in that is floor's material. you can also change it by using render element like "wire color". -
RE: Vray For Sketchup
Just increase the gamma value of the image which is applied to the chair.
Take new Standard material in the V-ray Material window.
Then in the diffuse panel, click on the options button which will be indicated by "m".
And then click on the none (selection option).
then select "TexBitmap" from the dropdown options.
On the right panel under section BitmapBuffer. select the image Image you want to apply.
And then under the file option you will see the gamma option.
just change it with the variation of satisfy result. -
RE: I have a problme ...please someone help me!
You can also get it by clicking on EDIT menu and then GROUP, then Vray for Sketchup, and then edit light.

RE: Kitchen
nice1.
but only thing you have to keep in mind here is -
-
You have to simulate the scene between Exterior-lightning and Interior-lightning, you can see here in your rendered image. Interior lightning IES light are lightning up like a night scene. Try to decrease the opacity using Photoshop.
-
You have also given a glare effect in some lights, it will look good in night scene but not in day scene.
-
May be i am wrong please correct me but it seems like you have given Ambient Occlusion in Photoshop by adding passes. If it is right, so try to decrease the opacity of AO by 40-50% of what you have given now.
-
Try to increase the glow of sunlight on the Floor and Dinning table by Dodge tool in Photoshop.
-
By looking at your image, Exposure is really more, that means may you have more intensity of sunlight but please increase the background sky image's intensity, they are not matching.
-
Move the V-ray light on the window opening slightly away from the window. I mean far slightly. So that it cannot produce over-exposed effect on the windows.
-
Importing more and more 3D models in the scene increase the realistic city by 30%.

Well, thanks for the response and welcome.
I found this forum same as what I have found that solution.
Any query you have, just post on sketucation. -

Hi everyone,
I have a problem in Sketchup pro8 when I want to render a highpoly model. When I go over 200 MB, I cannot render, Vray just don't open a frame buffer.
My configuration in laptop is prity good Interl i7, 8 GBB DDR3, Intel HD graphic card recognized in SketchUp OPEN GL.Thank you all in advance for any advice
try to render VRimg image and explode as much as possible the scene means explode all the groups and nested components at the time of rendering. Not surely but it will help you.

Hi All..
using SK8 Pro.. with VRAY and Indigo.. issue I am having.. when i try to render with Vray.. the SU Animation engages autonomously. I have uninstalled/reinstalled everything.. removed Indigo.. Removed VRAY.. still no joy.. please advise. Running Win7 64.. never had this issue..
Not a big issue,go to best settings of animation in vray,if you have other render engines as plugin in Sketchup, just go to Window > Preferences > Extensions and untick all other render engines accept the one you want to render.
And one think, i didn't understand your question 100% but i tried to help you guy,may this will be helpful to you.!!!

Just didn't find "explode the whole model" (a completely destructive function) or "use another software" to be a reasonable solution.
But I agree, lets see what the OP has to say. More info is needed.
hey..! thomthom, use Shortcut key for Explode.
Select everything by pressing ctrl-A and keep pressing the
that explode shortcut until the Outliner is empty.
or also u can use Bomb ruby plugin from Smustard.com. -

I use SketchUp and 3DsMax and I have no issues with either.
Doesn't matter what modeller you use as long as it can create the mesh - and SketchUp is more than capable of producing the geometry I want. Have a look around and see that people are having no problem creating images matching with SketchUp + (Insert your favorite render engine) as with any other modelling package. It's just a tool - like any other.Anyway, how it this related to V-Ray for SketchUp and the original question?
I dont know what you are on about but i am sure my answer is little bit helpful to the questioner, bcoz the same problem got me 1 month before.lets stop arguing ourselves and lets wait for the questioner to comment here that he fixed his bug or not .?
Gotcha..?

I've not had any issues with nested groups/components. And I've had some very heavily nested models.
In the very first V-Ray version there was a bug where some groups would not render, but in the next releases it was fixed and has never been an issue.
I would not sacrifice model organisation. In sketchup all you have is Polygon or faces and Nested objects.
thus it reports this bug. It is better to use 3D max then pointing towards the version of sketchup and vray or just wait for that day when sketchup will become a high end software.. -
RE: VRAY render not working
Welcome to my new post about the solution for the bug Vray and Sketchup.
This is really a badly rarely statement that sketchup is on high with the Modeling section & User friendly fast relaible 3D software. But only it is on low with the rendering section.Ya, i am going say that it is very bad for the Thread Optimization of the C.P.U, so it consist of 1 giant negative point.O.K. lets talk about the solution.!!!
Many questions i found similar to this bug on various website but, all were possibly not solved.
And in answer to this question, you will get :-1). have you tried refreshing? 2). try this: selecting all objects then copy open new file then paste then then render. 3). Hide some elements & components. 4). Bla, Bla, Bla .........
Well, I have the solution and that is very simple :-
~ Explode components in your scene as much as possible while rendering the scene.
Means : If you are modeling or importing 3D objects to sketchup file, make sure that it
should not be in deep. Do not make components under components or Groups under
groups. Upto Level 1 to 2, it is enough but do not go beyond that. It is recommended
to get rid off this BUG..!!!
