Posting an exact copy is a violation of Googles own policey and if they take no action or no one cares, that is hardy my fault. I didn't make the rules for the site, Google did.
But i have learnt one things from this whole experience of posting on this Forum and the replies.
Never upload or give anything away for free.

If the 3D warehouse was policed half as well as this site, there wouldn't be a problem.

Under the British / USA law and i would imagine all the rest of the countries in the world. You can leave your shop/house unlocked with the door wide open with no one inside. And anyone entering and taking any item and walking out is still classes as stealing. The police will still arrest and charge them.
There is no excuss to say that a Google Site is understaffed. maybe they should sell some of the mapping vehicals i keep seeing on the discovery channel.
Oh, i forgot. They just sold Sketchup, they should have loads of money for more staff.

You are saying that i was stupid to think that my work would not have beeen stollen! And if you do upload models/work you should expect it to be stollen.
You are obviously so used to theift going on around you, that you get upset if someone complains when it happens and tries to warn newbies (like myself). As you are an administrator for this site, i am shocked by your response.
I will try your point of view and go to the local police station, find someone that has been burgled and tell them that they should have expected it because they have a nice house. What do you think thay are going to say to me? They will beat me like a dog untill i am dead.
I originaly posted my work on the 3D warehouse for anyone and everyone to use in any which way they wanted to. they can do what ever they want to my models, i don't care.
Infact i recieved email from a teacher stateing that my model of an elephant was used in a class project at a junior school. the teacher thanked me and sent me a link to a funny video the kids had made. And that made me really happy, as it sums up the whole idea of the 3d warehouse. You give up the rights to your work for others to use in new way to create more models.
But finding the exact same model on the same website. Seems to me to be pushing the limits of shareing a bit to far. This guy has done nothing but copy other peoples work for the last six months. If the whole of the warehouse becomes copies of copies of copies, it defeats the point.
I was more upset that Google seem to be taking no action.

I have been checking the models in his collection and complaints go back to the beginning of the year, so that is six months and he has been reported on every model in his collection.
I am more angry that google have taken no action in six months.
I purchased Sketchup pro when it was owned by Google, I did the right thing and purchased the product, when i could have easily used a cracked version. If google doesn't take piracey seriously why should anyone else.
Google should give the 3d warehouse to Trimble as they are unable to run the site properly.

My model was reported on the 8th July.
The thing is that all of the models in Olivier Aurbry's alias titi collection are stollen, and when you look at the comments this has been going on for quite a while. He has been reported befor and the models are still there as his own work.
Maybe i am jumping the gun, but after four days i expect prompt action or some form of comunication from an organisation like Google. You can bet your bottom dolar, that if google found someone useing their software illegaly, they would be on them like a rash.
Google has a duty to protect the people that are uploading their work for free, which benefits the Google website.

Just a word of warning, never upload your work to Googles 3d warehouse.
I have had my model of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (alot of work) stollen and reposted on the 3D warehouse by Oliver Aubrey alias titi, as his own work.

This has been reported to Google 3d warehouse and no action has been taken. So it seems that google do not take piracey seriously.

I have tried Tgi 3D and it still has problems makeing every unique texture.

I think that you are right. Even with exporting and importing the individual unique textures just don't sit right. I don't think that there is anything else i can try, so i will just have to do without.

Please find attached the skp file that i am talking about.
The lighting design software (WYSIWYG from Cast software) that i import my sketchup designs into does not suport UV mapping. so i have to find a work around.

I could not find SKtech UV at smustard.
If you meant to say SketchUV, i have already purchased and tried the plugin. Excellent plug in and well worth the price, but i don't think it can make individual unique surfaces from a curved object that is UV mapped.
I will Have a look at Thrupaint.
Any other sugestions would be helpfull.

I am trying to find out if there is a plugin or some method that will allow me to make unique individual textures on a curved surface?
I have to export an curved object with UV mapping from sketchup to a 3d programme that does not support UV mapping. I have tried the standard make unique texture as well as the make unique +++ plugin, but neither work on curved surfaces properly.
Any sugetions would help.

You are correct, i have downloaded the new driver and it works wonderfully.
It is what i would call operator error (my fault). it wasn't very clear from reading the 3d connexion forum and all i could find was work arounds and no direct solution.
I will be having fun from now on.

don't bother to buy the Space Pilot pro!!!!!!!
I have just layed out over $450 and it does not work with Sketchup 8.
It has been a total waste of time and money.
The 3d connexions forum has been saying they will release an update to the driver since Oct 2010 and that was six months ago. 
They must think that anyone useing Sketchup will not layout that amount on a device, more fools them or am i the fool for sending my hard earnt cash on a over priced device?
