Thanks guys. After great deal of research and try outs, I concluded that SU is not yet there for fine designing. Its power is in quick presentations and models.
Saying that, I have not finalized the tool I will use but am glad that at least I won't spend more time with SU for this purpose. But, I will surely use SU for lot other reasons.
till then so long.. (not for long)

ps: Thanks Alan for pointing to new tool.
Following up on what was said above regarding printing to scale, to turn off Perspective, under the Camera Menu, select instead Parallel Projection. In effect, perspective views do not have a reference to a scale; orthographic and oblique projections do.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to all of guys!
I have to say, Gidon's way is the quickest and cleanest. I remember trying it some time ago but gave up. But this time I got it.
Any one else interested in this then watch this video to compliment the understanding.

Hi Pankaj, hi folks.
Same answer Gully Foyle gave in the other forum: use 3D text.
Dont give it any depth unless you want to. I suggest grouping it to avoid any interaction with other geometries.
Just ideas.
