I just cant fathom, what you guys are doing with your toolbars, I closely watched the progress of this discussion. I almost feel guilty by not having this genuine problem at all.
If the bars are disturbed, which very rarely occurs, I hit the ALT/F9 Button that I have set on the 'Restore Toolbars' command and all the boys are back in place.
I dont have any explanation for this good behavoir other then maybe that I am using a 30" screen which gives me planty of room not to mess in the vicinity of the bars.
I rely very much on SU during my workday and produce at least 50 projekts a year. I would have never stuck with this software, if there were such instances as the need of rearranging the landscape of toolbars 5 times a day! Maybe choose the plugins I am using a bit carefully but I have learned long ago that being a gearhead and jumping on any train is the least splendid of all forthcoming methods.

The downloadable interactive is titled as issue January 2012. Should be 2013 though!

Hi Roger, I agree to all of it. As a landscape designer I do a lot of field work all by myself and since using the Leica Disto D8 all my work goes very easy with this tool. It just shows you a magnified picture on a small screen with crosshairs on the target and you dont nessesarily have to see the laser dot! Also, it calculates the elevation from your position and even transfers the results via bluetooth into your notebook. So you cover 2 of the required 3 dimensions very easy and very precise. Regretably there is no app for iphones as far as I know.

Hi, a little problem but yet annoying:
got the space mouse from 3DConnexion installed properly. It runs well on SU8 pro. But there is a menue that shows the options for rotation centers and other. This menue will just not show up in SU. The required .rb file is in its proper place and also the folder with its files (ddl) and graphics. All the windows settings ,symbol adjustments and extension-file settings are done. This is exactly what I need, thanks so much,

my latest model, a komplex layout with buildings and accessories takes 2:15 hrs to export to an avi file containing 2135 frames. This is done in a 14 scenes animation. I have redone
the scenes now with shades put on. The developing time is now 21:35 hrs. Does anyone have clue as to why it is such a big difference? Thanks for any hint! Michael Neyses, Germany
