How do I control line thickness? I'm drawing up some construction step by step instructions and I'm trying to depict a line like the type in you snap with a chalk line. I have the line, but it doesn't stand out very well.

Ordering of layers
How do I do the equivalent of "bring to front" in sketch up. I have a pattern I've drawn on one layer and rectangle with an opening in it on another layer. I want to set things such that you only see the pattern through the opening in the rectangle. Right now the pattern is on top of the rectangle with the opening.
(The pattern is made up of a bunch of rectangles with textures on them.)
