Let us know how you get on with the RSST Chris. I almost bought one a while back but was put off by the stainless steel mesh wick.
At the moment I'm switching between Cinnamon Redhots in my EVOD, Juicy Fruit in my Kayfun and Silky tobacco flavour in my iClear30. Loving it!
Hi Oli ,
Those flavours sound good. Cinnamon in general goes well for me too.
I am kind of a 'dessert flavour' vapor myself: something with banana, cookie , cinnamon, milkshake clicks my button .
About the RSST, I just got it in two days ago.
Built a stainless steel mesh with 3 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal, a 0.7 ohm coil so only to go on a mechanical mod.
My first impression: Meh
The ss mesh doesn't seem to wick enough.
Lot's of vapor at the first hits and then it dry burns easily.
I think the mesh can't keep up with wicking the juice.
I'll try a built with a microcoil and cotton (so called autodripping mode) and see where that brings me.
A genesis atomiser needs to be upright at all times so that is a bit of a minus to take it out of the house.
I ordered a kayfun style but that will still take a month to get here.
Here's a photo of the ss mesh coil:
He he possibly
It is so easy to get caught up in the technical side of things and the according lingo.
I am vaping for less than 4 months and in the first weeks I got overwhelmed by all that is out there.
How quickly we adapt .
As to New Zealand vendors, I also had a bad experience with one of them, good to steer away from those.
@Stefan, Olishea ,
Oh yes, I love the mech mods. I have a Sentinel M16 and a Astro coming (both clones ).
I did purchase a kick clone from Sigelei, however not really using it.
In case I want regulation of voltage or wattage, I prefer the Vamo or SVD.
Micro coils for me are really fun. They give a 'sub ohm' experience without actually going sub ohm.
I would love to get my hands on to a Kayfun Lite or Russian 91, however they are so expensive so I ordered a Kayfun 3.1 clone from Fasttech and A genesis style RSST...Christmas present

I went out and bought a packet of stinkies this afternoon (my last packet lasted me nearly 5 days...i smoked one in then car on my way back to the office...
...when i arrived back in my office, there was a package on my desk with my nicotine juices inside it...!! WOOHOO...!!
...I've waited just over 3 weeks for these to arrive from overseas
Hi Gareth,
I see you are in Australia too and experiencing the 'no nicotine sale' over there.
It happened to me too.
Once I got overseas liquid (started with 18 mg and 12 mg) I could quite naturally drop the cigarettes quite easily...almost effortlessly.
So no need to beat yourself up for still smoking one or two while going through the process.
Here's a list of vendors I buy from and which work well for Australia:
-Mount Baker Vapor: USA. Step up quality for reasonable prices
-the Plume Room : USA, top notch quality , quite expensive but sooo yummy. I love their "banana mint milkshake" and "Honey Fig Tobacco"
The last two are perfect to give yourself a Christmas present .
Good luck and keep on vaping
I am still very much enjoying this discussion guys .
It still evokes so much gratitude in me as this thread (thanks Oli) got me off the cigarettes!
And a new hobby arose from it .
I recently got into the mech mods and rebuilding , and I just can't step down again .
It's a total different vaping experience: direct lung inhales full of flavour, it is so yummy.
Instantly dropped my nic levels to 6 mg as anything higher is madness .
This is my current setup for when I am home.
The Chi-You clone mech mod with the Trident dripper (2.3 mm air hole).
I build 1.5-1.7 ohm microcoils (9 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal wire and organic cotton wick) on it and it is bliss.
At times I put the Trident on my Vamo (variable wattage/voltage), cranking it up to a full 15 Watts, winderful flavour and never burnt.
Sorry for the technical jargon, it might assist people that want to get into rebuilding.
A little vape porn photo I took :
A little customization of the MVP to keep things fun .
Also my new dripper the IGO-L with a coil I built myself...still learning

So do you just drip liquid down the drip tip? How long does it last between adding some more drips?
I forgot to mention the previous photo of your kit has a lovely composition.
You're fast becoming the Vape Master! Or perhaps Darth Vaper!
Thanks Oliver, indeed bitten by the bug
Dripping is very easy. Just remove (pull) the drip tip off (I got a masculin pink one ) and 'drip'a couple of drips in there.
The drippping atomiser in the picture is a small one. It hold about 6-9 drops, and is good for about 5-10 minutes of vaping.
It's like having a cigarette , you vape it till it is gone.
Dripping is hassle free, the only thing that makes it more of 'doing-at-home' thing, is that it would leak if you store your PV horizontally.
Best to have an e-cig/mod stand of some sort.
A new experience: dripping.
The best vape so far.
Flavour X10, cloud X10 compared to any clearomizer or vivi nova styled atomizer.
And it consumes less e-juice.
The dripping atomizer just costed me 4 dollars, best vaping buck spent so far.
Only downside: now I have to learn to rebuild it's coil he he
Well done iichiversii .
Same goes here: If I can do it anyone can
It's remarkable how easy it felt to not smoke.
Sure, the first days I kind of felt 'something' was missing, but when I took a little vaping toot when the thought occurred, the urge for a cigarette was easily gone.
Whenever I see someone smoking I now think :'they will find out sooner or later"
And yes, the health benefits are there: my energy on the squash courts increased a lot.
I still get tired, but I have a second breath, a third... it totally rocks!
Keep on vaping ! (hopefully the FDA will not ban the on-line sales as it would ripple effect all over the world)
44 days smoke free.... and building a little collection
Wow , fantastic news Thomthom .
Good for you, good for sketchup and good for us users.
Win win win! I would say !
I am excited that Trimble hired you , especially because you use Vray .
This tells me that Trimble wants a smoother connection with the big plugins, that's great.
I quit my job a couple of months ago too....to take up a new 'job' as being a father .
It has been a joy so far and I feel I am ready now to step into the job market again.
Very exciting times...
You are both right , vaping is just very enjoyable .
And the whole hardware/juice world is fun to explore.
I am not ready I feel to go to rebuildables like the Kayfun yet.
Still too much fun exploring different kind of tanks and clearomisers.
Just changing the standard coils/atomizers straight out of the wrap is as far as I go for now.
Today I saw two of my friends, both smokers and gave them a ego starter kit with ce4's.
They loved it and it makes me feel good that they might get of the stinkies.
I added a photo below of the unleashed I-taste SVD beast, the i-clear 30 tank and a yummy 'butterscotch' e-juice (Mt Baker Vapor)
Indeed vape porn lol .
Woohoo , the nice postman had vape mail today .
The Itaste SVD is a brilliant MOD, I love it.
A very consistent and powerful device.
It is huuuuuuuge with a tank on it he he .
As a little review on tanks.
Now I have a Kanger Pro tank, a Vivi Nova and two iclear 30's.
By far, the Iclear30 is my preference. A very rich full nice warm vape and a tighter pull than the Pro Tank (too airy).
The Vivi nova doesn't inspire me much. It has a tight pull, but less flavour it seems, at first sight...I'll test more with different juices.
I also ordered a Vamo, which is on it's way.
It will be interesting to compare with the Itaste SVD.
It feels a little over the top purchasing this gear, but it's fun ....and 50 dollars is the same price as two and a half packs of cigarettes (yup, prices on analogues are hilarious in Australia).
Hi Oliver,
Yes, it is the Itaste SVD kit that comes with two i30 clearomisers, also Innokin.
They are supposed to beat the vivi Novas as they need less tilting to keep the wicks moist and less gurgling.
I am looking forward to trying that .
I bought it from the notorious FastTech store, they undersell most Innokin things, which Innokin itself is not happy with but customers are lol .
Fasttech is Chinese and has it's own forum. Whenever the brand name is mentioned on the item , it's the genuine product.
They do sell clones as well (of EVOD bcc etc...) very cheaply. It's a matter of reading the reviews and discussions on their site to see if it suits.
@Stefan ,
I agree , the SVD looks like a light saber ,
However it is a telescope mod.
With the 18650 battery it is quite large, while on a 1835 battery it becomes quite stealthy.
I will still be using the ego's when I am out and about .
For relaxed 'sofa ' vaping, I quite look forward to having that bigger piece of anodized steel in my hands and a bigger tank .
Fasttech delivery times take a couple of weeks, I'll definitely give some feedback.
And yes, the Provari, the Holy Grail of mythical proportions he he ... I kind of postpone that till it's my birthday in a couple of months. A good way to celebrate having quit smoking for ever .
Thanks Oliver,
It's bliss to be free of the anologue sigarets.
As Pete said before, I never quit smoking, I just picked up vaping .
To celebrate quitting I am treating myself with a mod, the Innokin Itaste SVD.
I realise the Provari is the excellence of vaping, but that has to wait till I am smoke free for a long period.
The Innokin only costs 37 dollars (versus 199 for the Provari).
It has very good reviews so it will be vaping on a new level for me coming from Ego's (which still rock i.m.o)
It makes me sad to read the legislation lobby on making e-cigarettes less available (and call it a medicin).
In following article it is stated that 1 out of 4 smokers wanting to quit, uses the e-cigarette.
And as the people here in this thread already experience, including me, it's one hell of an efficient stop smoking manner.
Smokeless electronic cigarettes risk being taken off the market by a "short-sighted" vote in the European Parliament that will classify them as a medicinal product, critics said.
The Telegraph (www.telegraph.co.uk)
An excerpt :
"The world has gone mad when tobacco is less regulated than products designed to end tobacco use. Thousands of people have given up smoking thanks to e-cigarettes. For the EU to over regulate them is completely counter-productive and hypocritical."
I kind of hold the middle ground in the law thing.
It is beneficial to have some kind of quality check as to what goes into e-liquids.
For instance, I bought a 24 mg nicotine bottle from 'some' NZ company, can I really be sure that it has good quality in it at the right content?
A little regulation, similar as what goes on for the food industry is very reasonable.
However, what seems to be going on is that 'regulating e-cigarettes as medicine' possibly wil kill the e-cigarette industry and leaves it over to the big pharma and tobacco industry, the only ones able to invest the millions of dollars to comply.
Yes, that is very sad.
On a positive note, I can say I am fully smoke free for 3 days now using e-cigarettes and it feels darn good .
Hi Mike ,
I sympathise.
Never been to Vancouver, however West-Australia where I currently live is not far off.
It's the so called 'nanny State', no smoking at the beach, not near malls etc...
Some pubs still have an outdoor smoking area, but most expect you to go on the street.
The last few years I kind of felt guilty each time I lit up in public.
The bonding with other smokers got better, the lepers together lol .
@Olishea ,
Ooooh O just put in some Blueberry too and it's simply delicious .
It's the 12 mg Blueberry e-juice of Mount Baker Vaper. A gentle taste.
Usually I don't like the profound fruity ones as they taste like soap or candles smell , and I am kind of allergic to soap fragrancesas they tend to go straight to my sinuses .
I agree, the Evods look so slick on the Ego Twist, all flush and good looking like a fancy ball point.
The Pro Tank looks very clunky like medical equipment of the early 1900's .
But my goodness, the vape on them is just gorgeous ..
The Evods are my carry around vape, Iove the colors on them.
A picture of my walk around setup
