Hey, I'm starting on a lavalamp. Modeling's going smooth, but idk about rendering. Gonna be difficult with demos...
Turns out that Subdivide and Smooth ($22 from Smustard.com) is almost ESSENTIAL to modeling this.

Those two are just threads started by Solo in the gallery forum. THey are all pretty awesome. Each provides a concept of something to model or render or both. So when you can't think of something to do for fun, do those. You get lots of feedback and people watching.

Thanks, but the 30 minute/speed modeling competition is a big NO. I would enter it, but I can't speed model at ALL. But other than that, thanks.
I'm looking for something to model. I'll post a pic of it when I'm done. I'm also looking for the pic to look better, so what's a good image rendering software that makes models look real?

How do you get rid of the visible endpoints? I'm normally good at finding things out, but this has me puzzled.
